Simple easy install.Twist bar is squared making it easy to tighten when at that those final twists. Also to feel really secure about the box.Heavy parts where you need them to be.Plenty of hardware allowing-options!Will order again!

Blown-in insulation in a small space makes putting any brace somewhat unpleasant. What I LIKE about this one, stark contrast to another brand I’ve used, is how the bracket that holds the electrical box mounts. This saved lots of time compared to other kits. If I ever need to do this again, this is the bracket kit I will get.

Expected something more solid but it does hold ceiling fan up just fine. Worked on 24 OC

Buy this one it works no issues simple to install

I like how sturdy this bar is once installed. I had no need to test its maximum capacity, but I didn’t want to install a ceiling fan on a standard light fixture box. This product is similar to one sold by a nearby big box hardware store, at roughly the same price, but I think that the build quality of the Commercial Electric brace is higher (and, if available near you, that product also comes at a lower price point). Once installed, I don’t think that it is an issue, but in a past installation the Commercial Electric brace was easier to install. Its metal components seemed easier to work past the ceiling insulation than the plastic components of this product.I did not modify the rating based upon this fact, but I did not appreciate that I was sold an open box product as if it were new. The box had been torn when originally opened, and was taped back shut with a large piece of white paper tape, which broke during shipping. Fortunately all the parts were present, and those that escaped the box were within the sealed plastic shipping bag.

I would have given this 5 stars if the plastic ends (the triangle stands) didn’t make me so nervous. It would have been better to supply metal pieces instead.

Easy to install, sturdy, large box for extra room for splices. deep box so you can have wires ender from the sides. with a multi master you could trim the plastic feet if your ceiling is thicker than 1/2″

I had to fix a ceiling fan installation at my daughter’s new house where the previous owner had simply nailed a box to the roof sheathing above the drywall in a second floor garret bedroom. It was a janky, extremely poor job, but the problem was that the old four-inch rafters didn’t give much room for putting a real fan box in, and the space between the rafters was a non-standard length with the light needing to go in the middle rather than against a rafter. This was the absolutely easy and perfect solution. It’s not cheap, and the reason it’s not is that it’s exactly what you need, well-designed and solidly built for use in such situations. You put this in place, then extend the arms by turning the adjuster until they grab your joists or rafters and you’re done. When installed, you have a sufficiently-solid base for the safe installation of pretty much any ceiling fan.
