Very modern design, moves a lot of air

Bought 2, easy to install. The remote has almost no info on the dials and buttons but not complicated. Moves air very well. Looks great. Light is very bright but dimmable, a plus for me. Unfortunately, the oscillating hum of the motors on both fans (identical sound) is too distracting for sleep. Best for the hard of hearing. Trying the 24 hour burn-in idea, but seems doubtful.Weeks later, after running for 24 hours they are significantly quieter. Much better.

Loved the wooden look of the Minka Aire fan, however I bought the white ceiling fan and wish I had not. We have a low ceiling in LR and thought the previous fan was too much made room seem smaller (light brown coloring). The look is fine (white ceiling fan). Did see in a lighting store and thought it would work. Well I don’t like the lighting in our living room. We will probably take down and put in our bedroom.

Fairly easy to install – looks nice

For an expensive end ceiling fan it’s very disappointing having to replace the receiver after using it less than one year. And this is not covered under warranty or asurion.Checking other online reviews, this seems to occur too often.

Love the clean modern design. Puts out a decent amount of light out for our small master bedroom.

I bought 3 of these for out new home. Two of them are working wonderfully, moving the air as directed with summer/winter mode switch. The third, which was installed in my master bedroom will either need to be repaired or replaced. It started making a clicking noise just 4 months after installation. That has progressed to humming and screeching, depending on speed. Low is almost tolerable but medium and high have become unbearable. Sounds like a bad bearing but reading about Minka-Aire of varying models across the web leads me to believe it can be anything from the install to the blade tightness. Will attempt a minor DIY fix with shims on the blades but I’m not optimistic and will return for replacement if that doesn’t do it. I HATE dealing with inferior workmanship. I absolutely resent being awakened from sleep by mechanical failures of expensive equipment that can’t survive 4 months of service out of the box.
