My wife’s office / nest was the last room in the house to get a ceiling fan. And, even though she strongly dislikes the Tiffany leaded glass shades on any other kind of lamp, she opted for that type for the new ceiling fan in that space.This 36″ fan from Moooni is a very nice, well designed and built fan.The first thing I noticed (and really appreciate) is that the controller module is built into the fan. It’s not a separate component that has to be stuffed into the hanger bracket and wired up, like many others. So, you only have to connect the house wiring to the fan. That’s all. that saves a lot of time and struggle.The ‘disappearing blades’ fan is well done. No wobble to correct. (They included a balancing kit. But, it wasn’t necessary.) It works very well, providing a nice breeze even at the lowest speed. It’s also very quiet. You can’t hear it running at all, at low speed. At high speed, all you hear is the gentle whoosh of the moving air. No motor noise, period.The LED assembly is excellent. With three options for type and many for brightness, you get exactly the kind of light you want.The remote control is intuitively laid out and has every function you could possibly want in this fixture. It even has a ‘breeze’ function. This is where the fan randomly increases and decreases speed, mimicking what a natural breeze would do. This is a fairly recent innovation with ceiling fans that I really like. Especially at night.I love a gentle breeze while I’m sleeping. It’s a natural sedative. Nothing like having the windows open and a nice breeze in the spring or fall. If you’re fortunate enough to live in the country, where you can hear all the natural sounds of the night, along with this fan, it’s as close to heaven as you will ever get on this earth.We love this fan from Moooni. Great purchase.

Everything works great. Install was as expected except a couple of screws were to short and requires a trip to the hardware store.Remote control was hidden in the folded fan blades. With the plastic packing on the blades the remote could be seen. Minor inconvenience.Lot of great features to explore.

Update 4/19: The seller had reached out to me inquiring about the review and if I would accept a free replacement. I of course did and it arrived last week. I installed it over the weekend. It of course works and is slightly updated from the original version.A few differences include: 4 fan blades instead of 3, LED light module is now part of the unit rather than separate, the remote is updated, a phone app can be used to control the fan, the fan direction is now reversible, and the light output does seem to be higher.The fan blades are still plastic, but I would think that with 4 instead of 3, and them being slightly smaller as a result, would make what happened less likely but only time will tell. I will raise the review one star for standing behind their product.Original review follows:I rated this one star because that’s the lowest, but believe me it’s worth far less. I heard a crash last evening. After investigating everywhere else I found that this fan had thrown a blade (it snapped off). Fortunately the impact didn’t damage anything and nobody was in the room at the time. This has seen light use since we installed it in the middle of 2019, and not even at the highest speed setting. The blades are plastic, but apparently very cheap plastic that can’t withstand the use.Since I’m already complaining: one other note: the color balance of the light is pretty bad. I had to purchase a large gel sheet to put over the LED panels to make this approach anything one would consider warm-white.Update: Also filed a CPSC complaint as this is a safety issue.

SECOND UPDATE: Newer version EVEN BETTER! The newer version is even better than the first, with more features for the fan and dimmer. This lighting fixture/fan combo is FABULOUS and I get lots of compliments on both of them – I have one in my front hall entry, and one in my dining room.UPDATE: Still LOVE IT!! They agreed to just send me a new cover instead of an entire new fixture, since it is already professionally installed. Then they accidentally sent me the larger cover, so I had to contact them again to send the right size, but they apologize profusely and sent another one right away, and it looks beautiful! Great customer service and a gorgeous lighting fixture/fan. I DEFINITELY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!ORIGINAL: This fixture is beautiful! I love it! A section of the glass was broken but I’m going to ask them to just send me that piece. if not then I’ll return it & just replace the whole shade & send the broken shade back.

The retractable fan blades are really cool. My installer called them my ninja blades. I had a pro put it up so I cannot speak about install. It looks beautiful over my bed and so much nicer than the old brown fan blades.

We’ve installed 4 of these Tiffany-style lamps in our Beach House in Florida. Very nice indeed. The color temperature can be adjusted using the remote control. When turned off/on using the main light switch, the lamp “remembers” its last setting. Hard to photograph an “invisible” fan 😉 When the fan function is turned off, the fan blades are retracted/invisible, when turned on, the centrifugal force drives them outward. Suggestion for improvement: the ceiling mount should have a ball joint (it is currently a cylindrical connection that can’t be adjusted in angulation), so the lamp orients itself vertically, independently of the ceiling inclination.
