I have been a Hunter brand only fan buyer for a while now. This is another great fan from them. It is crazy quiet and produces a great breeze. The blades look great, and the style is very nice. The only thing that gives me pause is that the cages around the lights are plastic. They feel really cheap. The fan is installed high enough that you really can’t tell but I would certainly have preferred metal. The included bulbs are not very bright but that is to be expected with the “green” energy, non-incandescent nonsense. I expected as much and took care of that straight away so not an issue.

Is a really nice fan for the price

I really wanted to replace the ceiling fan that was in my living room with something that went good with the rest of my decor. This fan fit perfectly in that situation. A couple of things to keep in mind when purchasing this fan: – There is no extension rod with this. So if you are needing to put it on a ceiling that is high up and vaulted then you will need to purchase one. I was able to run down to my local hardware store and picked one up… it didn’t need to be the same brand either.- The covers to the light are plastic and not metal so be careful when handling them as not to break them.- The screws holding the fan blade covers on (prevents the unit from spinning while in the box) can be a little stubborn to get out once you put the fan up. If you do find one that is hard to get out because the fan is spinning while trying to break the screw loose I would suggest attaching a fan blade to the opposite side and using it to stop it from spinning and gives you more leverage.

The house we bought had the same fan in all rooms and our outside patio. But it was clearly not intended for outdoor installation as the fan blades warped downward and the glass lighting dome filled up with bugs. Hunter makes some great fans so they were the first company I checked. I love that this fan has a rustic feel and the cages over the bulb (which are plastic) won’t collect dead bugs. Also, a plus, lights are included!Installing fans used to be one of the absolute worst things, but this one has a really good setup that made it a breeze to install. But instead of a circular ball that the fan articulates on, it’s sort of triangular shaped. Just make sure you put it in the right way. Also when screwing in the bracket to the ceiling, I started with a drill and ended up switching to an impact driver (most of the things you use a drill for should actually be done with a driver!) to make sure I didn’t strip the screws. I don’t know if this unit advertised a remote control, but it didn’t come with one. Fortunately my old fan had one (it’s Honeywell brand, but it’s the same thing as the generic Harbor Breeze fan remote control you can pick up at the hardware store). My one regret is that I should have gotten a downrod. Fortunately I left an extra six inches of wire when I trimmed it, so I can go back in and do that later.

This is a nice looking fan and works well. The only reason I gave it 4 starts is the black cages that go over the lights are plastic not metal. Just looks a little cheep if you get up close.

    Look beautiful

Replaced old fan on my lanai with this one. Perfect except light control chain is very short. When putting on longer chain attachment that was supplied, chain snapped up into the housing. It didn’t break but had to remove that piece and shake it until chain fell back out of the hole. Other than that, bright lights & quiet fan.

Fan looks amazing, and very strong motor. Only room for improvement is a big variance between the high and medium settings. High is like a hurricane, which we like lol, and then medium is a huge step down. Low is barely moving. Overall we’re very happy with it!
