    The fan is excellent, but the amount of cfm is low because dthe low speed.

     We got this fan to replace the big, old, ugly fan in my daughter’s room. This PolyEco fan is super cute!Installation was a breeze. There is a mount that screws to the electrical box, then the fan hangs from that while you are working on the connections. The power wires come into the control box, then wires come out of that to connect to the fan and the light. Once that’s all connected, just screw the fan onto the mount, attach the blades and the light.The remote has buttons at the top to turn the light off and to turn the fan off. Below that are buttons to control the direction and speed of the fan. There are timer buttons — 1 hour, 4 hours, and 8 hours. If you press one of these, the light and fan will turn off after this amount of time. There are three lights to turn the light on, depending on which color spectrum you want. And finally there are the light dimmer buttons.Everything works well. The fan is dead silent and runs very smoothly. It moves a lot of air for such a small fan. It is perfect for my daughter’s small bedroom.

    The previous ceiling fan we had in my daughter’s room shorted out, so when we got this one, I didn’t want to take the risk of installing it ourselves, doing something wrong and causing further problems. A friend of a friend is an electrician, so he installed it for us. He said it was easy to install, but, being an electrician, that’s not surprising. It looked pretty complicated to me, but I’m most definitely not an electrician. All of which is to say, I can’t really comment on the installation process of this fan.But once we got it installed, we were very pleased with it. It runs smoothly and quietly with no wobble like the previous fan had. The fan does not hang terribly far from the ceiling which is important as our upstairs ceilings are pretty low, so a low-hanging fan could be deadly. The three blades move a lot of air, even on the lowest of the five settings. My daughter’s room is pretty large and you can feel the cool air in all corners. The light has three brightness settings which are quite nice. The whole thing is controlled by a remote which is a great improvement over the cords that controlled her old one. The fan is also reversible and can be set on a timer, but we haven’t tried those features yet.Overall we are very impressed with this fan, and the price seems quite reasonable.

    I loved this fan with one major exception! But first, the positive.It is very sleek and modern looking. It is controlled only by remote so there are not tacky pull strings hanging down. It is inaudible, yet it manages to produce impressive wind speeds. The lights are bright with built-in LED mini-bulbs. You can change between day bright and soft white. The install, with one exception mentioned below, was easier than a typical ceiling fans.Now the bad. Since the fan is only remote controlled, it has an intermediary box between the wall wiring and the fan wiring that controls the fan. This alone is not an issue. The issue is that this box is so big that with all the wires, I can’t make the covering plate flush with the ceiling. I finally gave up after 20 minutes. Fortunately, the gap between the ceiling and cover plate is small enough that people not in the know do not notice. It’s just a small detail that deducts a star from an otherwise 5 star product.All and all, I highly recommend.

     So, my tall idiot self accidentally got in the way of my old ceiling fan while it was on and snapped a blade. The location that it is hung doesn’t allow for a much past a 28″ blade, these little guys have plenty of clearance. Though the instructions aren’t super detailed or clear, it’s pretty idiot-proof and easy enough to get mounted. I will say it did not come with screws to mount into the junction box as far as I could tell, which feels like a weird oversight. But I used the ones from the previous fan. The base of the mount has a lot of options for alignment, so I can’t imagine that there is a ceiling mount it would not find some way to fit to.First thing I noticed when I turned it on was that it was slightly out of round. Subtle, but there as you can see in the video. It’s not unbalanced, so that’s good. The other thing I would point out, which was more during assembly, is these are very lightweight, cheap feeling blades. Maybe that’s good, minimal weight makes for easy to move. The way they fit in, you could probably make your own blades if you want something longer or more robust. But the stock blades do seem to really move air, the only complaint is the stream is more concentrated rather than feeling like it’s circulating the whole room. The LED light is nice, adjustable warmth and brightness. Overall the remote is extremely intuitive and responsive, my only concern is there is no manual buttons or cords if you were to lose it.

    Installation: This was a bit of a pain. The instructions were pretty basic but did not offer anything on electrical setup. This was the first fan I installed in my house that had a remote. Even though this room has 2 switches one for the fan and one for the light I had to wired it to just one switch and then I guess the point is to use the remote to control everything. It had a hook to use a safety wire to assit with the install but no safety wire was included. I was able to use some of my own wire to help during the install and removed after I had it corrected.Operations:The fan itself is is good design and the blades move a lot of air. The light has 3 modes and gets really bright if needed. The motor is quiet. Aside from the install I really like this fan.
