    I’m renovating my garage & had a dead fixture that needed to be replaced. So, when I saw this LED ring light with a ceiling fan, I thought it would be a great option for some super bright light & a way to move some air around in the hot garage.Well, as far as bright light, this unit really shines (sorry). It easily lights up a 2 car garage to a point where you can have some light in all 4 corners. That was not happening with the single incandescent bulb that was there prior.The unit is super easy to install (even if you’ve never swapped out a light fixture before). There’s also a remote (NO batteries included – takes 2AAA) that can control power, brightness, fan speed, timers, etc… So, for a light fixture, this thing rocks. However, as a ceiling fan, it does move some air around (the garage has an 8′ ceiling & this unit is flush mounted) BUT only if you are directly underneath!If you stand even an inch or two outside of the fan ring, you will get no air flow. So, this doesn’t do much for moving air around the room. If you have this installed directly over a bed, for example, it would probably be sufficient. But in a room where you are not always going to be under the fan, it’s not very functional.The other issue (& there may be a fix for this) is that the light loses any memory of your fan once power is turned off. So if you operate the light from a light switch, it will turn the light on & off, but you will need to power on the fan with the remote then further dial in your speed setting.So, not sure if it’s worth the price to spend on a fan/LED light fixture. The fan is just OK. The light is very bright. It may be better, just to go with a straight LED fixture & save a little money unless you are going to be directly under fan during use.

    Ceiling fan works great, but seem to be on the same frequency as tv remote. When trying to using the volume switch it also changes the speed of the fan.
