Update: The longer I have this, the more I love it. I have had it through two weather types now (heat and cold) and it has been invaluable for both. The fan has a both cooling and a reverse spin direction to help distribute heat. So when it’s cold, it helps heat my room more quickly, saving me heat costs.-It’s quiet, especially for the speed and power it generates.-It’s efficient and easy to install.-The remote makes it incredibly easy to use from sofa, desk.-Customer Service is incredible! I lost the remote and they replaced it almost immediately.I’m most likely going to replace other ceiling lights with these.—————-I needed a fan for my small home office. It just got stuffy in there year round, and hot in the summer. There are different size diameters with this model and the small 16″ fan is perfect for this small (10′ x 10′) room.Mount/installation was about 20 minutes total, and mounts almost flush with ceiling. The fan has a great range from subtle (keep the air moving in the room) to high (cool me off!!). It also has a reverse mode for heat distribution in the winter. I thought that sounded strange but it really works well!!!Light has a dimmer control on the remote, and ranges from very bright to very subtle. I was concerned that the design might make the light too dark but not only bright but an improvement on the warmth of the traditional fixture with incandescent bulbs it replaced.Super happy with this purchase and how easy delivery, installation and use is.

The Cikass ceiling fan was an amazing choice for us. Our bedroom ceiling is lower than we’d like and I couldn’t count the number of times I’d be taking off or putting on a shirt and got my hand smacked by our old ceiling fan.The light and the fan both are amazing. There are so many options for brightness and softness of the light. The fan is amazing, it goes both directions. And what’s even better is that the remote is so easy to use and has so many features. The electrician told us that this is one of their favorite new fans to install because of how easy it is install and how so many people are tying it into different rooms.Would I buy it again? Yup, I have two more ceiling fans in the house to replace and they will probably be replaced with this fan.

Generally speaking, I suppose this is an OK product. Here are the things that drove me to return it.CONs1. It does not have a separate fan and light circuit. It just has one power circuit. So if you have a fairly standard US arrangement in your home with one light switch and one fan switch, at least one of these will not be use (but read further). So, unless you redesign your switch box to remove a switch and blank out the toggle hole in the switch plate, you will have a switch on the wall with no purpose.2. It is not intended to be turned off with a switch. If you do wire it up to your a switch on the wall, each time you turn it on it will forget its last settings and come up in some random state. Fan off, and lights bright.3. The light is dimmable, and you can select it’s color temperature, but it does not go very low. I found the lowest setting something like having a 40 watt (old tungsten filament bulb) light on in the room. Far too bright.4. The lowest fan speed is far too fast. There is no setting that is a gentle stirring of the air. The speeds vary from very manic to somewhat crazy. It does move air.5. If you have the fan and light on, you cannot turn off the fan by itself. There is a an “all off” button you must use to turn off the fan, then you have to turn the light back on with the light button. You *can* control the light separately.=== not ‘deal breakers’ but still of concern for me6. The instructions are very sparse. If your not skilled at filling in the engineering blanks you will probably need help.7. The mounting hardware was not ready for my situation. I have a pretty standard (for newish 1985 builds in the US) light box in the middle of the room that is flush with the back side of the ceiling drywall. The screws in the kit (that tries to anticipate many mounting situations) were not long enough to mount the bracket. Thank goodness I keep a box of random hardware.8. I don’t think the wire splicing terminal block they provide in the kit is list or to code. I used some wire-nuts instead.9. It beeps too much. Every push of a command on the controller give a piercing beep. Fine during the day, but annoying when trying to chillax at night.10. Everything must be done with a remote…. so where mount the holder? The dang thing does not come with batteries. I hate devices that *must* use a battery – and this is one of those because you can’t just set it where you want it and rely on wall switches. So you have to have the remote near the room’s door so you can find it at night when you enter a dark room, but you also will tend to put it near your bed so you can adjust things more easily. You will forget to put it back in the holder near the door when you leave in the morning, etc… bad design.PROs1. It’s not heavy. I was impressed at the quality of build for such a light item. It is mainly plastic, but it has a good finish. It is not, however, “quality”. For example some of the screws visible in the otherwise black frame are silver and detract from the sleek appearance.Summary – If you are looking for a sleek drop in for a standard light+fan circuit, don’t buy this. If you just have un-switched power you can tap into in your room ceiling, and don’t mind doing everything with a dedicated remote, this is probably an okay option, but you may be challenged by the lacking installation instructions and hardware kit.

We bought this product to replace a light in our stairwell and to help with pushing the heat from our wood stove back down the stairs. It works great! The fan is sooooo quiet and the light is fantastic.

All in all. I really like this thing. Lights have lots of settings for all kinds of situations. My only gripe is the fan is not well balanced. Settings 1-3 run smooth. 4-6 an obvious wable begins. Not quite final destination levels but enough I don’t want to be in the room with it. Tempted to remove the buttons so my kids don’t set it to high and leave the room.

We were so pleased with our first purchase that we decided to purchase for more rooms. We have purchased (2) black, brown, gold, and white. This is a great fan, very flush to the ceiling, under 10 min for install (1 person), very powerful. The settings are easy to operate on the remote.
