Started with removing the old fan, out side patio, bought the dark bronze oiled fan with out the light kit. A plus was the manufacture packed a couple of extra screws and split lock washers for the blades, dropped one and gave up looking for it so used the extra one provided. Super quiet and moves a lot of air. Three speeds and a reverse switch is there. When installing the blades I left just one of the stops theyuse in shipping to hold the motor in place, this was a great aid when mounting the blades prevents them from unneeded movement until this procedure is complete. Overall this fan is a great replacement. Hits all the marks. All the reviews I’ve read on this fan graded it with 5 stars are well deserved.

Attractive , basic & simple. All hardware included. Packaged/wrapped well for shipping. Helpful note- when you are removing your old ceiling fan, take a few photos before disconnecting the wires… it may come in handy when you go to wire the new one. 3 speeds, and has a reverse switch on the back showing clockwise & counter clockwise- counter clockwise is for summer… it brings the air up and out, and clockwise works in winter to bring warm air back down to circulate. ??

Bought 2 for upstairs bedrooms. They look fantastic. Totally fiddly putting it together, but worth it.

Constant sounds on both fans. What a waste of money

EDIT: After 2 months of use it developed a constant, relatively loud humming sound (not shaking, it’s very steady). Getting a bit annoying (and my fan is in the garage and I can hear it in a neighboring bedroom) when it’s on the highest fan speed. It still works very well, but I don’t know how long before I need to do something about the humming. Edited from 5 to 4-star.If you have an existing mount/wiring already in your ceiling this couldn’t be easier to install. And the price is very good compared to the major box stores. And at first use I think this one is better quality. I didn’t need the instructions but in reviewing they are very clear.I use this fan in the garage so had previously installed a new mount and wiring. Had my old repurposed fan down and this new one up on about 30 minutes. I already have a bunch of low profile LEDs in my ceiling so this “fan only / no light” is perfect – and no need for a remote – just reach up and pull the chain. The only thing I had not seen before was the rubbery “cover” thing that sits on top of the ball, which you push your wires through. While a good thing to further isolate wiring, I don’t think it’s necessary to use it.Overall a great fan – only recommendation as long as you can do it safely without falling off a ladder is to attach the blades before you install the body of it on the ceiling. When removing the screws (and plastic “braces” which are only on there for shipping) it would have been a lot easier to attach them before taking it up to the ceiling. So far it’s great!

I liked this because it will move air to heat up the room or the opposite direction to cool the room. The speeds work well and is quiet when running. What I did not like about this fan is for some reason I thought there was a light on this fan and then looked at the site again and nope no light so was trying to figure out where to put it. I ended putting it out in the shed where I sometimes work only during the day.I noticed that the blades were already starting to sag from the material it was made from being they are flimsy. Turned on the fan and started to work. Eventually later I ended running into the fan from the blades hanging down and did get hurt on my head, Fortunately the fan was on low speed but still I think caution is needed around the flimsy blades of any fan.Its a ok fan but I did take it down after recovery and awaiting a different one to put in its place that is of better quality.Gave the 3 stars because the function is good just change the type of blades it has.Hope you learn from me and have Better Luck and make sure to wear your Hardhat around this fan.

This fan was used to replace one that was starting to make noise when it rotated. So, I removed the old one and found that the ceiling attachment was a different size than the one I had and had to replace that also. I was hoping to save myself a step, but it was no big deal. The installation was easy and I did not need the manuals. I have hung several fans and there was nothing unique or unusual about installing this one. The only thing that surprised me was when I had hung the base but not added the blades yet, I tried to turn it on to make sure it was working right. It did not move! Turns out there are little plastic brakes that keep it from turning a lot during transport and keep it centered to prevent damage. These are where the fan blades install and if I had installed the fan blades then they would have been removed. So, I removed them and all was good. I added the blades and it all worked well.Install was easy, it is very quiet (at least as compared to the one I took down), and it works well. I added a generic remote control and it all works perfectly.
