The matte white color and styling of the fan accomplished the updated look I am working toward. However the remote adds a bulk and complexity to the wiring that made it difficult to install. Fortunately I was able to get customer support through an Amazon inquiry and was able to resolve the problem.Absolutely love the look, very quiet, no chains hanging down!No alternate way to control it if the remote is damaged.

When I use my light switch to turn on this light, there is a delay of 2-3 seconds before the light illuminates.Nice looking easy to install, appealing light, fan works well nad has good settings.Packaged arrived on time without problems.Just disappointed about the delay when using the light switch as opposed to the remote control.
