This is JUST what we needed! We have a vintage 1947 home so many things just aren’t that well as thought out as they would be in newer homes. Case in point, the overhead light drop and the placement of kitchen cabinets. The older fan that came with the house had blades that were simply too long and they clobbered the upper cabinet doors. This one can stay on high with the door open and no problems.I think this fan is very stylish but truth be told, despite the graceful modern styling (our old kitchen fan was of that hideous “country kitchen” type with funky pin striping on the blades and faux-tulip bulb domes that made it look like it was stolen from a river boat brothel while moored in 1880’s New Orleans. Yeccccch!) with its 6 stubby blades and large central lamp, this new fan looks like the love child of one of the Lusitania’s main props and a Klieg Light.PROs:- Very nice, clean, modern styling- Very good air flow for the size- Symbols on the pull chains for light and fan- Good illumination in the kitchenCONs:- It is still a very small fan and won’t move huge quantities of air. That said, I remain quite happy with it- Non-Standard light bulbs. Yes, it has two bulbs but there are a size I’ve never seen before and have no idea where to find replacements. With luck, maybe I can find LED replacements so I’ll die before the bulbs do.It was super easy to install, it lights the kitchen well and I no longer have to worry about splintering the kitchen cabinet doors! I couldn’t be happier with this fan!!!!Update: November 2015 — I am lowering from 5 stars to 3. I would recommend getting the model with a single bulb. Mine has blown through two bulbs already, one incandescent and one LED. Only a single bulb leaves the kitchen a little dark and dingy. I still LOVE the fan and its tight design, I say just get the other single-bulb model.

I have a narrow laundry room and when we open the cabinet doors over the machines it gets even narrower. I like a fan to keep it cool and also to circulate air because we hang-dry a lot of clothes. This little fan does the trick. Easy to put together–I attached the blades to the the fan, hubby installed to ceiling. Blades reverse from white to light tone wood so take your pick which side to show, blades are angles more than our other fans which I think helps it move the air better. Fan puts out a nice amount of air (can see the clothes on the bar moving) It does have a hum (low volume, even tone) when the fan is on. It’s not bad, and in this room definitely no biggie because the fan is on when the washer/dryer are on, or after I’ve put the hang dry items out and left the room. If you were trying to sleep with it–it might bother me though I don’t think so and I’m a lite sleeper, but hubby actually likes white noise so he’d be fine for sure–and probably me, too. For this room it is perfect size and air volume. The 2 bulbs are little–hope there is no issue finding them to replace when the time comes. Doesn’t give out tons of light.

Love the look and size of the fan. Has great air flow. Takes awhile to put together. No remotes were included and we bought all 5 brand new

I needed a very small fan, and because of where the light fixture was in my kitchen, it also had to be very flush to ceiling. I have an upper cabinet door that swings out at 12.5″. The distance from ceiling to bottom of fan blades is just over 9″. From ceiling to bottom of light is 11.5″. It is reversible. For a small kirch it moves air well to remove hot air when reversed, and cools me well when I am working in kitchen. I can’t reach the reversal switch from the floor – I am 5’4″, but can reach the cords easily. I might shorten the cords. The incandescent bulbs didn’t give me a lot of light. I tried 2 G 16.5 LEDs at 350 lumens each, which would be fine for a bedroom. I am waiting on some 500 lumen lights as the kitchen needs to be bright. Mine wobbles a bit because we couldn’t get the junction box pushed up further into ceiling, otherwise I don’t think it would wobble. It is very quiet, just a low hum on fastest speed. I keep it on slowest speed most of the time. It prevents me overheating in the kitchen very well.

This was for a hallway that required a fan with short blades and clearance for doors. It was perfect . This fan provides plenty of light plus it’s very quiet . The fan has a sleek look and we love it . We are thinking of getting two more

The light is beautiful! And easy to install if you have a handy man. Was a little pricey but everything is now. No remote.

Forgot to take an after pic so all you get is a before lol, but installation was easy, and incredibly compact and lightweight ( reason I got it ). I was impressed by how silent it operates in all 3 fan settings. Blows great amount of air for what I’m using it for, and just hoping it last more than 10 years.

Updated: installed late January by October the light went out. No problem, right? Wrong. I looked up the lightbulb type on the item description, put in an order and here we go. Found a lamp (you know, because the overhead light is out and I cant see…) and a regular light bulb for said lamp, a small ladder, etc. How do I get the globe off? You need a screwdriver. Alright. This is getting annoying.3 screws later…. THERE ARE NO LIGHTBULBS. it’s an all-in-one lighted globe! And it’s out. Seriously? So the item description is wrong and there is no way for me to figure out how (or if it’s even possible) to replace this globe piece. So now I have a small laundry room with an even smaller fan and no overhead light. Cool.UPDATE THE FREAKING DESCRIPTION. YOU CANNOT JUST PLOP IN NEW LIGHTBULBS.I’ll be replacing this with a more user-friendly option.Purchased for a small laundry room. It really puts off significant wind and will be awesome for summertime while I’m dying trying to do laundry for all my heathens 🙂 install was a breeze (for the handy hubby) and it puts off sufficient light for my small laundry room. I would purchase again! We redid the room with shiplap and farmhouse shelving/decor and this, on white, fits in rather nicely.
