Don’t buy one! Poor customer service for a poor product. At first I loved this fan, but after a few months the light suddenly stopped working. I wrote Fanimation and they sent me new “receiver” for the light, assuming that this was the issue, which we’re still not really sure of. Big problem is that in order to install this piece I have to get up on a ladder to a fan on a 10′ ceiling, take apart the fan, install a complicated receiver with five or six (!) electrical wires/hookups, reassemble the fan and hope that it works. It seems to me that the company is assuming a regular person can do this, but there’s no way I can and I’m pretty handy. I also think asking a customer to do electrical work like this is irresponsible and dangerous. This product is clearly defective and when I asked them to send someone to repair it because it’s still under warranty, they said that service is not included in the warranty. I would not recommend any of Fanimation products if this is how they fulfill their “warranty.”
