    So far I have installed 3 of these, two in a 23×14 living room and one in a 14×15 dining room. Installation of the pair took about 2 hours total, since I had to go into the attic, cut ceiling holes, install wood braces across attic floor joists with electrical boxes, tap into an existing lighting circuit, and install wall switches for both. The other one was a snap, replacing a chandelier in the dining room – everything was already there. The most difficult part of the installation was mounting the blades.One item I could not find was the rated power consumption for the fan, either on provided documentation or the Hunter website.They move plenty of air on mid setting and make much less noise at that speed (the pair together) than a refrigerator running. Bulbs that some with them are dimmable, brighter replacements (which I found necessary) are not. I wanted them to provide supplemental reading light to enhance reading lamps on tables in the living room and the bulbs that came with them were a little dim, soft white. I prefer 5000k bulbs.

    Of course I was skeptical since the item was “renewed.” I have a great track record with Hunter Fans and decided to take a chance on it, with the chief risk being missing parts that you cannot just replace at Home Depot…Fan was in NEW condition. Every part and all the hardware was included and It was easy to install. It has been up for weeks and I can report that it works flawlessly.It is a light-weight fan compared to others I’ve installed, but the 4 blades have exactly the same weight so I didn’t even have to balance it.

    I love the look of this ceiling fan, the ease of installation, the remote (I love that it can fit over the light switch). It creates great airflow and has made my bedroom look and feel better. I do worry about the highest setting and if it will hold, but I’m happy with 1 or 2 anyway.

    The fan is great! Works as expected and looks pretty cool. Very quiet operation with plenty of speed. Also, the dimming function is really nice feature. I had to call Hunter to figure out how to turn DIMMING MODE on, because it wasn’t in the manual. As soon as I figured that out, it worked great. [For those that need to know, hold 0 down and push light button 2x to turn on dimming mode. Then you can long-press the light button to dim]. Works like new, pretty easy to install.Also, seller is very responsive and helpful!

    Bought two of these to install at my sons’ bedrooms. The first one took a while to install, but once that’s done, the second one was a breeze. I didn’t realize they were refurbished (it said so in the box when they arrived) but they actually looked new, and it comes with a 12-month warranty but hopefully we would not need it. Overall I think the product is great.

    Refurbished model. Installation a bit complicated but instructions were very helpful. The integrated light doesn’t dim as advertised. On/off only. At night with the fan running while lying in bed, it’s easy to hear the crackling sound coming from the bearings and interpret that sound as moderate rain falling outside. Annoying. The four blade design seems to move less air on the low setting than the five blade fan we had before.

    I ordered a refurbished model since it seemed they had good reviews and it was slightly cheaper. I’ve never had a bad experience with buying refurbished items until this order. When I first opened the box it was clear that the fan had been used. The base was all scratched up, the fan blades were chipped and had black marks on them. Then as I started pulling the remaining pieces out of the box I had about 6 pieces total. Hmm… then I realized that two were the same piece but different models. When I laid out all the pieces they wouldn’t even make a complete fan. No light cover, no remote, no down rod, no hardware pieces… it was literally a box of random used fan parts. This was packed up and returned immediately. Just spend the extra money and get the new one.
