I have a 15’ ceiling in my great room and 11’ in my kitchen next to it. There are no side walls separating the 2 rooms. The fan is suspended on a 4’ rod and does not move while operating. You can here the sound of the air, but not the fan itself, and It does a good job of circulating the air in both areas.

Works great for no ac in Hawaii but light could definitely be brighter.

Looks nice and is quiet. Difficult to install had to send back first unit because switch did not communicate with Dan.

  4. Amazon Customer

Easy to instal/assemble. Provides maximum air flow and cooling power even at lower speeds

My electrician said the Hunter fans are the easiest install of any fan he has ever put up. It’s a gorgeous fan for a good price.

The fan itself looks good, but the wall remote set up is terrible. If you already have an existing 3-pole switch set up (=2 wall swithces), the wall remote that came with the fan will not be compatible for power. You’ll have to either change the 3-pole switches and disable 1 of them to set up for the power for the fan. Next, the remote to change fan speeds is actually powered by batteries not the main power source directly. So, if you need to change batteries, you will have to take the unit out of the wall just for battery changes. We finally decided to keep the existing 3-pole wall switch and separately purchased a universal remote to control the fan speed. Right now, the main power is controlled by the existing wall switch, and the fan speed and light on/off can be control by the remote. You can get a compatible remote w/o the transmitter from other places than Hunter if you just run a google search. Hunter sells their remote with the transmitter which you don’t need for this fan and the $ is much more. I ended up paying about $20 plus shipping for the compatible universal remote from a electronic store directly (Dan’s Electornic). The remote will have “ANDERIC” brand print on it instead of “Hunter”. I choose the remote model 99119. Hunter said that 99119, 99122, 99123 are all compatible universal remotes for this fan.

We love this fan. Love the way it looks, how its completely silent even at full speed (you just hear air whooshing but zero hum, rattle, wobble, etc).It was also pretty easy to install, with one minor frustration: The instructions say that you can use two switches (one for light control, one for fan power), but we found that this was not true. I wrote to Hunter support and they informed me that despite what the instructions say, there is no way to use separate controls. This is a bummer because I specifically wanted to wire the light with the rest of the room lights. And I would rather use my own fan remote (Lutron, which can be controlled via automation systems like ours) than their proprietary RF remotes.Their remote system makes loud beeps, has considerable delay when starting up, and isn’t great but works. Once it gets going, none of that matters and it works beautifully. And the built-in receiver works with many other fan remotes, and we found others that work great and look nice.We really didnt want yet another separate remote to manage when the rest of our home is automated via a single app and voice controls.Overall we are extremely satisfied with this fan, just wish it could have been wired (and controlled) the way we intended. It is gorgeous, modern, powerful, seemingly very well made, and moves a lot of air.
