The remote control mounts in the wall switch and has batteries. So when they go dead you have a extra work to do. Dumb design. You will need electrical knowledge or a professional. One of the hardest fans I have installed.

Everything about this fan is perfect. It looks beautiful, hung nicely, moves the air perfectly, and gives off great light. It was a little tricky to install, but worth the patience. Installed in about 2 hours with my husbands help, and we had a crooked junction box which didn’t help. Luckily the fan sits nicely on the ceiling and is my favorite part of my guest bedroom, I might even get one for our bedroom next!

Love the look of the fan and that it doesn’t make noise BUT sometimes, the wall control won’t control the fan and that’s super annoying because there is no other way to control it.

Had fan professionally installed. The wall switch that requires both hard wiring and a battery is an odd setup and a bit annoying when the battery in the wall switch needs to be replaced, but it is a beautiful looking fan and light. Definitely enhances the vibe of a room.
