    I like fans that are elegant in their simplicity, this fits the mold – I bought 3. The installation was very straight forward with one exception – installation of the blades. The direction calls for installing them when the motor is hung from the ceiling, but it’s tricky and frustrating to get the holes lined up. I greatly recommend installing the blades on the floor. In fact, if you put the top styrofoam piece back in the box there’s a convenient hole big enough and the box deep enough to accommodate the 6 inch fan support and offers a stable enough working surface to install the blades. Just place the inverted motor, extension first, into the hole. You’ll be done in a few minutes. The ceiling method takes 10x longer.

    Relatively easy to install, very happy with the fan. No lights, no remote just a fan attached to a wall switch. Just what I wanted for my bedroom where I’ve got better lighting in the ceiling. I will be looking for something from the same company for other bedrooms in the house now.

    Wish I could install this, the listing for this fan, the 50811, says “Pull Chain Included”…sorry no pull chain, I am replacing an old Hunter Original, need a pull chain, should have asked the question I guess, my bad

    A really nice ceiling fan for the price. Excellent directions, very easy to install.Looks great and works great. No remote control, I’m sure I could have purchased one separately.It did come with a wall switch which was a big plus.

    Outstanding, sleek, and minimal noise! Super easy to install – I did it by myself. We love the minimalist design. We like that there’s not a remote to worry about losing and the dial switch works great. It moves a LOT of air. We will probably never have it on higher than low in our bedroom. Some might think it actually moves too much air depending on the room it’s in. Highly recommend!

    Only three stars for the inconvenience and added expense to pay an electrician-installer twice. The original fan was completely installed except for the final step: “align the cap …to the fan housing.” The cap was too small for the housing. A call between Hunter and the electrician resulted in a replacement shipped with paid shipping to return the original. I didn’t return the original until the replacement was received because I hoped the replacement cap would fit the original housing. No such luck. The original fan had to be removed and replaced with the second unit.My caution to all purchasers of the Presto 52”: immediately on receipt open the box and make sure that the cap fits the housing. See Page 7 of the installation booklet for “installing the cap.” It’ll save you time and money.Once installed the fan works fine, quiet and efficient.

    My husband is a master electrician and he said that this fan is the worst quality he has ever installed. There is a scraping sound on and off which is very annoying to listen to
