We received 5 Hunter fans at the same time and installed them without issues, other than needing to glue the inner and outer portions of the top escutcheon together. I would have given them a 5 if I didn’t need to fix this issue. They look modern and sleek and upgraded the smaller rooms in our home.

I have installed many fans, all different brands, and this was probably the easiest unit I have ever installed. There is a minimal number of pieces involved, the instructions are easy to understand, and the overall quality is impressive. Very quiet operation.

Alright, I bought a whole set of these fans for a few rooms and they do look good and work well. That said, in the end after hanging them I have two quibbles:(1) They are definately not the quietest Hunter AC motor fan. I have other Hunter models and these are definately the loudest. Now, overall they are “quiet”, but if you have a silent room you hear them hum (loudest at full speed, less so other speeds). Hunter will tell you they should not make any noise, but that is just marketing, even when support says that. They will not be dead silent and do hum, just will be easily drowned out with any other noises in the room, so keep that in mind. Every single one of this model does this.(2) Hunter decided to put the logo on a part of the fan that does not rotate, so if you want any kind of sharp look from these fans, it is hard to get out-of-the-box as the logo will just point in a random direction. If this matters to you (like it did for me) here is an easy way to fix: hang the fan such that the logo is slightly more to the right of where you want it, then with the light kit screwed on without the globe on, grab the bottom assembly and turn it counter-clockwise. You’ll be able to unscrew it from the motor base. I then add a 5/8-in E-Clip at the top of the threads and screw the light kit back on. You can then tighten until it’s pointed just in right direction you need now. Also, the painted glass globe is nice, but it will reduce the light output from the light bulbs. I find that I need to use 75W-equivilent LED bulbs (1100 lumens) to get the same approximate output that two 800 lumens bulbs would output without the globe.

Hunter fans never disappoint. We replaced our old Hunter fan after 20 years not because it doesn’t work but wanted a more modern look. Only dislike is the remote isn’t as nice as our previous fan.

Love the look of the fan and that it is very quiet. However the light can only be turned on and off with the remote and only works intermittently. The fan blades turn on easily with the remote but not the light. Cannot get the light to turn on at all sometimes and the brightest setting is not bright enough for an overhead light.

The fan itself is decent and pretty quiet but out of the box, the light is very dim and even when holding the light button down to change the brightness, it never gets very bright (hence the bad reviews mentioning such). This is how to fix it.On the remote, hold down the fan 0 button and press the light button twice. You should see the light flash a few times. This changes the light mode between dimmable and non-dimmable. Once you’ve switched to non-dimmable the light should deliver full brightness but you won’t be able to dim it. Repeat the procedure and the light will be dimmable again and will go up to full brightness. The bulbs that come with it are complete garbage so you might want to replace them good bulbs as well.

I found the directions accurate but terse. They told exactly what to do but it would have helped in a few steps to know how best to proceed. I looked at quite a few youtube vids and I’m glad I settled on “How to Install a Ceiling Fan. Dad, How do I?” Hunter commissioned him to install the Demsey and it made it a breeze. I shared the frustration of many fighting with the threading of the fan blade bracket. My solution was to work a screw into each hole and then attach the blades. That solved it. The fan is quiet and smooth and the light brighter than led to believe with just a few seconds ramp up. It dims nicely but I wish it didn’t have to dim to dark before reversing brightness. The fan is really attractive, the remote, not so much. I guess they were going for ergonomics and not looks.
