    Our only complaint is the down rod that’s supplied is quite short and a challenge for higher ceilings, additionallyhad to purchase longer down rod from savoy house thur Amazon. Other than that it looks Great

    So far … it’s looking fine. It came with a 4″ down rod which was pretty short; we needed the 18 or 12 ” rod at a minimum. But once that was acquired (12″), it went up fairly quickly. I did have to jury rig the wiring a bit: This is the SECOND fan/light combo that comes with a remote control, that I’ve had to control using a 3-way circuit (2 switches, one appliance). So … the original fan this unit replaced was wired with a Light control (from the 2 switches) and a fan switch, black and red wires respectively. The black wire was attached to the wire for the light on the light kit, and the red wire went to the black motor wire on the fan. Using a remote/receiver setup, you need to connect the FAN switch control wire to the black input wire of the receiver; the white line wire goes to the white input of the receiver. In order to control the light BOTH from the remote and the wall switches, you need to connect the house wiring light (black wire in my case) to both BLUE wires — output from the receiver as well as the BLUE wire of the light kit. This way, as long as the FAN (master) switch is ON, the remote will turn either /both the fan and the light on; but also, the 2 wall switches controlling the light separately also turns on the light. There is a caveat that if the remote is left with the light in a DIMMED state, and you turn on the light at the switch, it will override the dimmer, until you turn the wall light switch(es) back off (at which point, the light returns to the dimmed state).Air flow is FINE and the unit looks great …
