Tried two other brands/styles. Neither one would work out of the box. This one was nice and actually functioned. We are quite pleased with it. The dark reddish brown color goes really well with our cherry wood bedroom set.

Fan looks nice but does not move the volume of air that the harbor breeze fan that it replaced did. The light bulbs are 5.5 watts each. More of a night light than anything.

It’s heavy, well made and seems like quality. Only complaint.. don’t love the browning effect around the edges of the globe. But I’m still happy overall with the purchase..

Really happy with this fan. I’ve had it for about 3 months. Electrician said installation was straightforward. He remarked that it was as heavy as it looks, so even though it isn’t wood, it’s solid and sturdy. You’ll want to make sure you have the right support in the ceiling because it is heavy. We were able to reinforce the ceiling and wire it from the attic.I use the fan on the highest speed and it is just right for my 15×15 bedroom. No knocking or annoying sounds. Perfectly balanced without any weights needed. Can’t beat the price for the quality & intricate style. Oh, also! It didn’t come with a remote but I don’t need one – I installed smart bulbs and control the light through Alexa. The fan runs pretty much all the time.I love the detail of this fan – the fleur-de-lis pattern matches my bedroom fireplace surround and summer cover perfectly, even the scallopping is the same style. Pics include the fireplace. It’s early 20th century – the house was built in 1920, and the other bedroom has an identical fireplace on the other side of the shared wall so they share the same chimney. The interesting coloring is called “japanned” now (it apparently was called antique copper at the time, according to the Sears and Roebuck catalog of that time). The whole cast iron surround and what we believe to be brass summer cover are copper plated, then a black pigment (a thinned bitumen, I’m told) was added on top. Enjoying learning about my new home’s history, restoring what I can and adding a few of my own modern comforts (the 2nd floor doesn’t have AC or heat).

I’ve installed many ceiling fans over my years. This fan has been the easiest to install by far none! I’ve put three in my home and ordering 2-more. Extremely quiet, plenty of volume, forward/reverse access is easy. The appearance is good also. jn-cleveland tn

Pleased with the cosmetics and works well on high speed (disappointing on med/low fan speeds , not as much air movement as other models). Installed 52-inch unit in a 12×12 bedroom with 8ft ceiling- runs quietly, diffused lighting. Fan needs to be on high to make much of an impact (we have another 52-inch model in a larger room that provides better air movement). Instructions are basic for installation, but component placement must be closely observed to avoid noises (easily corrected, but check closely during installation to avoid need to fix). Brand is overall reliable and good quality for the price
