    I purchased this for a small office (former bedroom) in my home. The previous standard ceiling fan gave up the ghost. The structure in the ceiling wasn’t really sufficient for the weight of a standard ceiling fan anyway and it always wobbled.The fan looks good, a bit modern for my older house, but is fine in a room designated as an office.The good:- The fan gives off good air movement.- About as quiet as a good quality room fan.- The light is adjustable in tone and brightness so you’ll likely find a setting you prefer with relative ease.- Very lightweight. Easily supported by 4 drywall anchors with no fear of coming loose.The bad:- I have installed dozens of ceiling fans and light fixtures over the last 30+ years. Almost all have a way to support the weight of the fixture while you wire it up. This does not. Either get a buddy to stand there with their arms above their head for far too long while they scream at you to hurry or do what I did and use a loop (I used a long wire tie loosely connected into a large loop) to hang over one of the attachment “arms” (see picture) and hook the fixture onto the other end. Let it hang while you wire it up.- The space inside the fixture is barely enough room for wire nuts. In fact, I had to unstick the control module inside the fixture, move it to one side and bend the romex wires to the opposite side. If I left the fixture centered there was no way I could push the fan high enough to hook onto the hangers. The wire nuts (and these were small wire nuts) were too thick between the ceiling and the control module to fit. Very frustrating to figure this out unless you are used to having you arms above your head for extended periods of time. All these reviews with “easy install” and “could not have been easier” simply didn’t use wire nuts. Don’t be like them. Don’t burn your house down. Use wire nuts.- With a pretty standard ceiling height, about 7 1/2 feet, the area that you feel air movement under the fan is relatively small as opposed to a standard ceiling fan. For my purposes, no problem, as the desk is nearly in the center of the room. Will also work well in a bedroom where the bed is under the fan. However, in a larger room where the light/fan will not be centered over the bed you may not feel much benefit from the fan.- There is no way to reverse the fan direction. Some have answered indicating that’s what the wind deflector is for, but this simply is not the case. The wind deflector changes where the wind points (very slightly at best) however a ceiling fan can typically reverse because in the winter you may use it to draw air up thereby circulating hot air (which tends to rise) down. This fan will not be good for this purpose as it cannot do anything except blow air down. For my purposes it will do the job quite nicely but I wouldn’t be installing one of these in anything but an office space.

    Poorly made light fan. I definitely wouldn’t buy again. the LED has 4 different colors. 2 of them started flickering in a few months. Those 2 went dead for a week or so then started working again. Now it started again. Fan is ok if your somewhat under it. I contacted seller and they got back to me explaining the problem and gave me a solution. The Seller did right thing in fixing the problem I had.

    When installing, the ceiling mounting plate is smaller than the ring on the unit. Mounting the unit is not easy as there is no way to hold the unit while connecting the wires. The operation of the unit is very good, good remote.

     This is a bright light with powerful fan. I liked that it moved a lot of air for the size of it (18″ across and enclosed blades) and I could choose cool white or warm white options and change the intensity of light with the remote. Suddenly, 6 months in, when I would turn on the switch at the wall, the light would flash and not stay on.The fan or remote wouldn’t work at all.Update: After my poor review, the sellers reached out to me and wanted to make it right. They required that I give them my shipping address, but sent a new fixture right away. Just installed the new light/fan combo, and it is working like a charm. I hope that it works for years to come, it is a great unit.

    After the first light stopped working properly after about 7 months, I was a little upset and reached out to the company and could not have been more pleased with the response. They promptly sent me a complete replacement with no questions asked. The new light/fan looks great and works perfectly for my application. I would recommend this product.

    I’ve had my fan for almost 5 months now. The fan is great if you’re right under it. The air doesn’t exactly circulate around a room. Thankfully that’s not much of an issue for me since my bed it right under the fan. The lighting is nice and bright and you can slightly dim it or use warmer tones. Now when it comes down to cleaning that’s where this product falls short. You can’t open it up to get to the blades to clean them. You can only clean the outside parts of the fan. I tried cleaning the fan and just as I suspected as soon as you turn the fan on dust bunnies flew everywhere.

    This fan is everything I needed for these hot flashes. I sleep better than I’ve ever had since menopause. In addition, the fan it quiet.
