    I have little to no experience with handy work but thought I’d give this a shot. Seemed simple enough, change fan blades and swap out my lighting and a simple and easy new decor. No, just, no.I had originally bought these after reading questions and reviews leading me to believe they would be easy to install and universal. Turns out they are neither.PHEW! Here goes!I had to essentially “break” them to get my bolt through. In order to do that I aligned the blade where I thought it would be sturdy and visually appealing and attempted to poke a hole with a screw through where I needed my bolts to go in. After I made my hole I did notice the fan cracked a few inches in a line in both directions (it’s fragile, and the line runs right up the crease in 3 spots where I had to place bolts). This whole process wasn’t easy. Took me over an hour to get ONE blade attached and I’m not expecting them to last long once the fan is running. On the bright side, I was able to accomplish the task with the ONE tool I own (? a screwdriver ?) They DO supply an extra blade, which, to me, looking at the severity in which I had to damage the blade to get it up. I’m expecting them all to shred in a few months of use. Will update this review in the future as to the longevity of this product with my particular fan installation.From what I can gather, these blades are made for a fan that has (ugh?) a pinching style, compression type holding base. My fan has three screws that hold my blades on.ANYwho… Just thought I’d share my experience as a newbie to this. It seems like most reviews on here either have the right fan, or the people installing were pretty knowledgeable with handy work and had a fairly easy time making it work. Maybe this will help someone! I kind of wish I had read a review like this before my purchase but here we are! ????

    Replaced the old blades with this set and dusted off the fan housing, now we have a like new Islander again. Blades were perfectly balanced out of the box and the fan makes no noise. The fan keeps this great room with 14′ high ceiling comfortable all year around.

    The quality is pretty much the same with the ones it came in with my ceiling fan. However, the installation wasn’t easy because where you have to insert the blades in to the fan, the part that takes the blade in to the connecting place is too small and you have to do a little trick to make them go in …. I understand this is a universal fit and am glad I found them because I needed to replace mine immediately and I was afraid I couldn’t find these type of blades. Anything else about these blades are just fine. I still say it’s a great purchase. And i wiil buy them again.

    My Hunter fans are old but very functional. Standard look [blah]. I use a glue gun to attach these to the fan blades. It’s a WOW. Looks like an expensive fan. Fan works fine. I recommend this item.

    We checked the Fanimation site to make sure that this is the right blade to fit our fan. The look is great. The reasons why I deducted 1 star are 1) it’s tricky to put on as the 2 screws holding it in are very short, shorter than the thickness of the blade, and 2) our original blades were stitched with thread and 2 of them broke after only 2 years of moderate use. This time it seems to be stitched with something that looks like clear fishing line, so we’re hopeful that it will last longer.

    These are great, needed to replace one blade on two fans, but figured since the others were 13-years old we would need to replace all the blades. NOPE! These fans and their blades are outstanding, the new blade is no different looking in color than the 13-year old ones! Very happy now we have three extra replacements for the future since they send you an extra one just in case. They are a bit fragile, but easy to install and look great. These are 1/2 the price of what we got from a local fan store.
