Noce fan but very low light.

This fan is beautiful and operates smoothly. But out of the box the light is quite dim. I replaced the bulbs with the recommended LED but still very dim.

Bottom Line Up Front…I would not recommend this fan.The fan itself is nicely designed, and looks great. However, when installed the lighting was so dim that I have night lights that are brighter. There is no information in the directions/manual on how to do anything about that. I did manage to find on the Hunter web site in the Troubleshooting section (Enabling your Fan Control Dimming Functionality), which describes how to increase the light brightness using the remote. But, even after increasing the brightness with the remote, the light is not very bright. I tried clear, 75W equivalent, dimmable LED bulbs, which helped a bit. The problem seems to be the thickness, and lack of transparency, of the light globe, so there’s not much a person can due to correct it (I plan on using 100W bulbs, next!).Changing the bulbs is an difficult exercise, when you have to put the globe/retainer ring back on, because the globe constantly shifts from the retainer ring, so it’s difficult to keep the globe/ring aligned together to be able to insert the screws that hold it in place. I solved that problem by using Gorilla tape on the inside to keep the 2 of them together while inserting the screws.Another difficulty was the fan direction switch is inside the light housing! So, then you have to go through the above process at least twice a year. Finally, when we first installed the fan, it was so noisy that I called Amazon and arranged a return/refund. One of the reasons you purchase a Hunter fan is its quiet operation I have used Hunter fans several times over the years, and never had the noisiness of this one. But, it mostly went away after running it for an hour or so, so I decided to keep the fan.I would not recommend this fan, mainly for the light cover being too thick, so it cuts down on the brightness, considerably. Another reason is the poor design that makes it so difficult to get into the bulbs (and fan direction switch), because of the shifting globe/retainer ring. The noise issue seemed to resolve itself, but you may not be so lucky.

This fan went up easily and is very quiet. It looks exactly like the picture. My only concern is that the remote is small, about the size of a clothespin, and would get lost easily if taken off the wall (if you have kids, buy a spare).

Fairly nice fan. Puts out good air, but not as nice looking a fan as pictures. Light is dim too.

Beautiful fans for my beach condo.

This fan was part of the lighting package installed by the builder of our new home. If I had known what we were getting and read these reviews first we would never have chosen this fan. However, after dealing will poor light a for a day or two I decided to see what I could do about it. It turns out the glass is frosted and then PAINTED WHITE on the inside! A little (okay, a lot) acetone (nail polish remover) and the paint wiped out. Now I have a glass that looks the same but is about 500% brighter! Might be worth a shot if you don’t want to have a nice fan and a crap light.

We installed this in our master bedroom and I can barely see when I turn it on. We would not recommend this for the light, but love the look and fan works great.
