    Installation was not easy, having issue with the remote.

    This fan does look very nice, so it checks that box. After that things go down hill. It’s a 4 speed fan and at the highest setting the wind noise is super loud. At 3 it’s just too loud. I have a fan in another room that costs about 1/3 what this one does and moves about the same amount of air on high with about 1/10 the noise.Then there’s the remote. That they included this POS remote with a fan that costs what this one does is pathetic. The fan control mostly works. The light control is a different story. It’s supposed to have 2 modes: dimming and non-dimming. In fact, mine seems to have at least 5: Dimming (sometimes, sometimes it just switches off), non-dimming and won’t turn off most of the time when you press the button, non-dimming and turns on then off quickly when button is pressed, non-dimming and starts dim then becomes bright, still mostly won’t turn off. I’m trying to find the right combination of Bond settings and the on off switch that will keep me from going crazy having this thing turn off and on at random.Overall I’m really disappointed in this product.Update: Casablanca sent a new remote and receiver and that made all the difference for the remote issues. The only odd thing is that the new remote doesn’t have the reverse function so the fan is not longer reversible. With that fix I’ve updated the review to 3 stars. The fan is very nice looking and it’s now controllable except for reverse.

    Had it over 6 months. Personally rented a 20′ ladder and mounted it in our tall A frame cabin. At that height I was going to give it one try to mount correctly. Piece of cake. The quality of this fan will pay dividends for years especially since it is so far upand requires renting a ladder to get to the top. We used a 72 inch downrod (yes they actually make them that long!). From the first time we turned it on, it was rock steady (my biggest fear with cheaper fans). I have had Casablanca, emerson, Hunter and Hampton Bay in various properties This is as good as one other, and it was also a Casablanca. Very quiet even at high speed and moves air very well.We bought a silverlight retro LED (0n amazon) and I rigged it /replaced into the light before mounting to increase light – to 2200 lumens or about a 150watt bulb. These days fan companies are minimizing light output to qualify as eco friendly. Too bad my eyes are not eco friendly and need more light than most put out. The addition was a nice improvement. We mounted the remote on the wall and renters all quickly master how to use it as do most family members.Most amazing and unusual trick about this fan, you reverse it while it is in motion the other way…on purpose. Amazing to watch. You expect to destroy it (think old cheap fans) but it knows to gradually slow down, pause and go back the other way.This fan will make you feel like the Michael Jordan of Handymen or women.

    Nice looking fan but since the only way to control the light, reverse the blades and control speed of fan is with the remote, it should work but it does not always. Inconsistent at best to control light and to power on and off. Takes multiple presses to get it to work, and I’m standing 10 feet away. No customer support either. No phone number to call or link to customer service. Crappy design.

    Fantastic modern fan. We bought this fan over some other less expensive fans for several reasons:1. We wanted something that looked modern.2. We wanted a fan that could operate at slow speeds when we’re sleeping. This fan has 4 speeds and accomplishes the goal.3. We wanted LED lighting but most fans with LED lighting have very dim lights. This fan has a bright (but dimmable) LED light that works great. We had planned to install recessed lighting in our bedrooms and living room. But after installing 6 of these fans around the house we found we didn’t need the recessed lighting.4. We didn’t want those severely old looking spotlight type of lights you find on most fans. This fan has more modern look, with lights that light the room without blinding you with spotlights.The fan is quiet and appears to be well made. We started by thinking we would buy it only for our bedroom, and ended getting six to install throughout our Hawaii home. Highly recommended.

    This fan looks very nice, very stylish-nicest fan I have ever had. Cools the room very well. I was a little worried about putting a non-flush mount style fan in my bedroom with a short down-rod. It comes with 2 sizes of down-rod. The electrician didn’t even use the shortest one, but it is still sits perfectly in the room and I don’t have a tall ceiling in there. The only thing that I don’t like is the remote control. It is a little strange to use, but after I looked up online how to use it, I am getting used to it. It is functional but not the most user friendly thing: it has to do with being able to dim the bulb, the fan settings/speeds are fine, but the lighting part is a bit odd. Still not troublesome enough to not give 5 stars, but I could see someone else possibly being frustrated.

    We love the look of the fan. Time will tell on the LED light. It is pretty and puts out a lot of air. The remote is good but the wall adapter is poorly designed. You can’t hang it on we the switch. You have to remove the toggle. We ended up purchasing an after market remote holder.

    This fan looks nice and was professionally installed. Right away the installer told us there was something wrong with the light. It does not dim, as advertised. But that’s not all! When the fan is running the light flashes on and off like a strobe. Very distracting! My husband wrote to them and he never heard back. We’re still figuring out how to handle. The fan is quiet, looks well, and moves a lot of air. Can’t have everything??!
