On the plus side, this is a nice looking fan and it operates very quietly in summer mode. I have a slight clicking noise in winter mode but I haven’t yet passed the 24 hour break in period. Hopefully that will resolve itself.On the negative side, the motor has way too much torque on start up and literally shakes the fan before it settles in to the operation speed. This is not an installation issue. I made sure to fit the drop ball securely into the locking slot and tighten the friction screws. I’ve never owned a celling fan that does that. I’m also experiencing some occasional light flickering. That is only happing when the fan is running so I assume it’s a current issue, but this fan is not on a dimmer and the fan it replaced didn’t have that issue. I installed the fan and made sure the wire connections were very secure so I don’t think it’s a wiring issue.I’ve got the fan connected to the modern forms app and also added it to my Amazon echo dot (gen 5) bedroom group. The Alexa integration is inconsistent for some reason. Turning on the fan with a voice command always works but sometimes the I can’t use a voice command to turn on the light. Not sure what is causing that. Also, I can’t use a voice command to dim the light (Alexa says it doesn’t support that).Finally, the documentation install instructions are lacking and in come cases inaccurate. There are references to the wrong diagrams, and bad steps. For some reason they have you installing the fan blades to the motor way before you need to. That would just complicate the installation. Also, the fan blade motor screws came with an extra part that you don’t need. I suppose they ship the same screw package in all the fans in that color and only some of the fans need that part. It would have been nice to document that somewhere.
