This fan is a dream compared to the last 2 we had (and the last one was Hunter). Our prior fans had problems with balance, speeds and odd bulbs with not much light. We installed this one yesterday and so far it’s a dream: quiet and balanced– definitely worth over twice the price if it continues to work the way it is working. Lots of parts and a little time-consuming to install, but we got it done ourselves. I would definitely recommend having a power tester on hand. One thing I would note is the darker side of the blades was a little rough with some cracking and chips. We used the lighter side so it didn’t matter to us. If the flaws had been on that side, I would have sent it back.

I had installed a ceiling fan that I purchased from one of the big box stores earlier this year. When I went to use it, I found out it constantly hummed at low speeds. It was so annoying that I purchased the Casablanca at 4 times the price of the bargain fan. It was well worth it. My parents bought Casablanca years ago and swore by the quality. They were right. This fan continues in the tradition of being quality made and “whisper quiet”. I just bought a place in southwest Florida and if I need to replace any of the fans, I plan to go with Casablanca – spend a few extra dollars for quality – you won’t regret it

Wow. Just wow! Bought first one as a Christmas gift for my daughter’s bedroom. This is only the 4th ceiling fan I have ever installed replacing older dinosaurs. Having two people working together makes the install a breeze! (Pun 🙂 ) The fan is charming, stylish, beautiful made of quality materials. Noise? Quieter than the whisper mode of the “Blue Thunder” helicopter (movie ref.) I don’t know if it’s the fan or my awesome install skills, but the fan was totally balanced on the first try! The kind of balance where the pull strings don’t move even on high speed! After first month, decided the adjacent bedroom needed to have a fan and immediately purchased this product without even bothering to look at other fans. I would like to note that the installation of the second fan was just as smooth as the first, and again balanced on the first try! The rooms are both 10 x 10. Some may argue the 44″ is too big for such a small area but I live in an older home in the Texas heat and I say the bigger the breeze is wonderful! I used a different seller for each buy because the first seller was out of stock. I willingly paid $20 more for the second purchase (I think the first purchase was a sale price) but both sellers get 5 stars. The boxes arrived fast and in perfect condition. Blow on!

The switch housing unit included did not fit together — the upper part and lower part were the same diameter so could not be mated. At first neither I nor the representative understood the problem and it was some time before the correct part was shipped to me. It is now assembled properly. Taking off a star for sending the wrong components in the initial box.

Love the look and performance of this fan. The only reason I didn’t give it 5-stars is there was a flaw in the manufacturing of my particular fan. And of course…didn’t discover it until the fan was 95% installed! The mechanical housing cover that covers the motor and sits flush to the ceiling didn’t line up correctly. The holes for the screws and the mouting were off on one side by approximately 1″! So instead of having two screws securing it on each side we could only use one on one side. So that it wouldn’t look ridiculous without all four screws, my husband sawed off the screw head and glued it into the hole that couldn’t be used. Fan is still very secure, but wish their QC department had caught the issue. Would buy this fan again, but will inspect the housing cover before I start installation!

Love this fan! Runs very quiet. My husband installed it following the manufacturer’s directions; however, the first time around he didn’t tuck in or tied the cables inside the metal cover (where the motor goes) and when he finished and tried it the first time it was making a weird noise. We thought it was wobbling, but after trying to fix it with the blade-balancing kit, we realized it was something else. The noise was coming from the motor inside. So husband disassembled it and checked the cables and this time around he wrapped and tied them nicely together to prevent them from rubbing against the brushed metal cover, and that did the trick! We are very happy with this fan, love that you can change the light bulbs easily, and it looks very sleek.

I had the same problems with this fan as I had with the larger fan miss drilled holes for motor housing they didn’t fit with the bracket so I had to order second fan to get another motor housing and return the one that didn’t fit .This one is a 44 inch fan the other is 54 inch you order them togeather I was expecting to get the same light fixtures But one had globes which I don’t like the other has a bowl light fixture that I love but I had to settle because they don’t come with the smaller light fixture but the fan is beautiful and quiet ! I wish they had more options with the light kits

It’s quiet and a couple of inches closer to the ceiling, and it does seem sturdy, but man is it a bear to install. I’ve installed other fans before in less time. The whole unit must be assembled, piece by painstaking piece. The only advantage to doing this, is you don’t need an additional set of hands to hang the unit from the ceiling, but it takes so long to assemble.I’d of given this product a 5 if they would have at the very least installed the arms to the blades and a 4 if they had at least inserted the rubber grommets in all 15 holes! The manual is fair,,, again, I wish companies would invest in having instruction manuals written by writers fluent in English. It is difficult enough to assemble an object without having to decipher grammatically flawed sentences in order to understand how to assemble something.
