    This light looks awesome in my sunroom, the only problem is a very annoying beep. I hear a beep every single time I turn the light on, which is every time I walk the dog. Not sure why the light needs to beep when it’s turned on, strange…

    The Fan is nice and seems well built. Light fixture is very elegant. I bought a 48″ extension from Lowes to lower it down since I had a high ceiling. The disappointing part is that I ordered grey and received Brown. My electrician was here so I had him hang the light anyway, It;s nice – but with my room colors – the Grey would have been nice – but the brown works.

    There are a couple of reasons for the 3 star rating: The blue wire for the light was too short for the longer downrod. Quality control should have caught that during manufacturing. I was replacing an existing fan with a light so I was able to splice the wire from the old fan into this one, but it left me stumped for a second thinking I’d have to return it. Also, the screw holes for the light enclosure cap did not align with the holes on the “cage” where the bulb goes. As a result, one of the screws was crooked and got stripped when I tried to take it off to install the bulb. I had to only use the other two screws to secure the light fixture to the fan. Lastly, the instructions are not very thorough. Yes, the steps are there, but for instance, it doesn’t tell you that the lock pin on the downrod has to be secured before tightening the screws around it. That might be common sense after you’ve figured out how the whole thing is put together, but while following the instructions it says “tighten screws and secure pin,” which is backwards in the sequence of things. It also doesn’t explain how to replace the short downrod that comes pre-installed with one of the longer ones. It’s not difficult to figure it out, but still, it should be in the instructions. It could also give fair warning about clearing all the wiring from within the mounting bracket to make room for the remote receiver module to be inserted, since all wiring from the outlet has to go to on one end of the receiver module, and the wiring from the fan to the other. I would have wired and positioned it differently if I had a heads up. I had to re-do the wiring, which is a pain when you’re working 12 ft off the ground on a ladder. One last note about the color of the blades. It’s called a “weathered grey” but it’s more of a brown, as you can see in the pictures. Still, it looks good and it doesn’t completely clash with the other lights installed in the same area. The remote works well, and I installed a smart bulb instead of the one that came with it, so I can control the light remotely and schedule routines (when to go on/off, etc.). I wish I could also control the fan remotely, but alas.

    Bad engineering get rid of the beeping even though there’s a mute button, it cannot be hardwired for an easy wall switch.The on off button is about the size of a pea in the middle of the fan buttons. often end up turning on the fan when you’re trying to hit the light button, poorly engineered, how can I permanently remove that beeping?
