I have 24 of these fans in this house. We have installed 12 so far and all are good except 1. It moves very slow no matter what speed you put it on. My electrician has checked it out and says the motor is bad. We are past the return window. Also I live on an island in the Caribbean and it is impossible to return an item from here. We have to ship everything in and shipping is very expensive. They only ship in not back out. Like I said I have 24 of these fans here and have 3 more buildings to build which will require more fans. I love the fans but being that they are so expensive and I have bought 24 already I am hopeful the manufacturer will stand behind this product and help me out.

Fantastic Fan. Beautiful to look at. Quiet. Installer put it together and it took about 45 minutes. It’s sturdy, has wood fans and moves a lot of air. I got the one with the LED light – not sure why Amazon does not provide extended warranty on the fan with the Led light but does provide warranty on the fan with no LED light. In order to use the remote, you must buy the Minka Lavery Fan Control System Minka Aire WCS213, else you cannot operate the fan. Why they won’t charge you more by adding this Fan control in is beyond me. So if you just order the fan without the Control System you will be looking at the fan, and not enjoying the breeze it puts out. I had to order this fan twice, as the first one had a faulty motor and it kept on making noise every time it completed a circle. The new one that we replaced is super quiet, so the first one was faulty.

This fan is absolutely beautiful but I HATE it!!! It was installed in our newly built 3 seasons room in late November of ’17. It has made the most annoying clicking noise off and on the entire time. It doesn’t matter whether it’s on speed 1 or speed 6….it makes the same noise. It’s not constant but intermittent. It’s unbelievably annoying to me!! I just want our room to be the relaxing sanctuary it’s supposed to be but this fan makes that impossible. For the price of this fan, this is very disappointing. It looks fantastic but it’s not functionally acceptable. It’s not off-balance either. We’ve checked that….and if it was, it would make the sound at all times, not intermittently and at all speeds. Super annoying!!Update as of 9-17-20: The annoying noise eventually subsided, HOWEVER, I went out to the sun room this morning and the fan wasn’t moving (we keep ALL our ceiling fans running at all times for good air circulation) so I asked my husband if he turned it off and he said no. I tried to turn it on and NOTHING! The light worked but the fan would only make a high pitched humming sound that was faint. So I know the motor was trying to work but it’s obviously fried. I’m currently online searching for a new fan but I will NEVER order from this company again. For $700 I would expect a fan to last for several years, not just under 3 years!!! Unbelievably disappointed and ticked off!!!

This item is a bit pricey, so I checked out the reviews. Some reviews were very picky which is accurate in those situations. In my case, I must say, it is a beautiful, unique fan and is worth the money if that is your price range. It works form the remote, so you cannot wire it to switch the fan and light separately. The blades are plastic with a wood-look finish, however when mounted on the ceiling, you cannot tell that. The blade design makes the blades more secure than most ceiling fans. Also, the size and design of the blades makes this fan move a great volume of air. On the high setting, it is like a wind tunnel. I live in Florida so the ceiling fan has a practical application. I think you will be happy with the purchase.

Knowing this fan was rather expensive, I asked everyone for Amazon gift cards as holiday presents which enabled me to “crowd fund” the purchase. It was installed a couple of days ago, and I quickly noticed an electrical grinding sound in the motor when it was powered on or off or the direction was switched. The fan was also frequently unresponsive to the remote – requiring multiple presses of a button before the fan would respond to the command. This was hugely disappointing considering how much I paid for it, so I decided to return it. Taking it down was an absolute nightmare! The glass light cover would not come off, so I had to work a screwdriver in between the glass globe and the fan blades so I could remove the blades. Finally, after removing all 5 blades that way, I was able to remove the glass cover from the light. I will definitely be looking at another brand after this fiasco.

This fan is incredible. It is beautiful, efficient, and the quietest fan we have ever had. Every time it moves it looks as if the wooden blade is unfolding like a rose bud. It is stunning! The light is a smart LED light from dim to runway bright. It is by far the best ceiling fan purchase we have ever made.
