This fan sucks, that’s the only term I could use to describe it. They couldn’t make this more difficult if they tried. I have now had three replacements and all three of them do not work. The motherboard which connects to the Wi-Fi is held in the hollow tube downrod. It will connect to Wi-Fi while you’re hanging it but the moment it goes into the tube it will not connect to the Wi-Fi anymore. I can assure you if you order this it will not work. I am on number four and they just keep wanting to send me a replacement claiming next one will work. I love the look of it. The remote is pretty terrible, and the Wi-Fi which is the main reason I bought it doesn’t even work.

We have installed this in our bedroom to help circulate the air and it works fanastically. We don’t have to crack the AC as much now and the fan also looks SO nice. It’s super cool that it is a smart fan so we can just speak to it and tell it how we want it to operate. It is very easy to install and a wonderful investment in home cooling costs!

Super easy install. Works great with Alexa. A little odd that it has 2 commands for shades of light-yellow and white but still super awesome. Makes zero noise as well.

I’ve installed dozens of ceiling fans over the years, some basic, and some “smart” fans that connect to Amazon Alexa and Google Home. So, I have a lot of experience installing and configuring “smart” fans. This was the most difficult fan installation I’ve ever had to tackle. I finally quit trying and had my electrician install it for me, and at first he told me to box it up and send it back. When I told him I couldn’t send it back he persisted and eventually managed to get it installed. Now that it was installed it was my job to pair the remote and get it connected to WiFi so it would work with the iPhone App and Alexa. Normally, the remote is already paired to the fan. But this one requires the user to pair the remote with the fan before the fan will work. There’s no other way to operate the fan than with the remote. It can’t be wired to work with a separate light and fan switches on the wall. The pairing with the remote worked fine.Next step was to connect to WiFi. Once again, I stress to point out that I have a house FULL of smart devices: fans, lights, light switches, security cameras, wifi speakers, etc. so I have plenty of experience setting up “smart” wifi devices. I gave up on this one after two solid hours of trial and error.I do not recommend this fan to anyone looking for a “smart” fan. If that’s what you’re looking for buy a Haiku Fan, they’re available here on Amazon. They’re easy to install, look great, and easily connect to wifi and work perfectly with Alexa. This fan is not worth the price since it’s so difficult to install and the features they advertise don’t work.
