Beautiful design, easy to install and very quiet which is always my main criteria for choosing ceiling fans. We now have 3 of this type fan in our home and they’re awesome. Worth every penny. The remote for this fan was faulty however the manufacturer sent a replacement very promptly.

Looks great and very quiet. Needs to run at high speeds to get a strong downdraft. Installation straightforward. Had problems with the remote control(s). I installed two of these fans to replace those old fashioned ‘southern’-style fans that always seem to be installed as standard these days; I did not want to use two remote controls but found that getting the two fans to operate in tandem problematic. Out of the box, the two fans were rotating in opposite directions, so finding that special angle where only one fan would respond to the remote control was tough (ended up hiding behind a wall). Then I found that getting the two fans to operate at the same speed was impossible. This issue was not resolved and not important enough to us to pursue – it is as if a given speed is different for each fan. Oh well.

Edit: ended up buying this one and am happy https://amzn.to/3TICJl1Awful quality for an overpriced fan. If you think, by being crazy enough to pay $500+ for a ceiling fan, you would at least be getting a premium product, you’d be utterly mistaken. You’d think the manufacturer would at least make some effort to deliver a moderate quality product at this price point. The finish on the blades has blisters on the good side. Poor sanding/finish paint job! Screws have garbage/contaminants in them before chroming so the screwdriver won’t go in, the “decorative” flashing is off white, completely mismatching the rest of the product and sticks out as a sure thumb, and there is this weird, gap between the blades and the motor housing that results in unfinished look. One other thing, if you happen to have a 2-gang or greater light switches, their wall mount remote is sized to THEIR own supplied faceplate. Their switch mount remote is a tad wider than the standard (Leviton, etc), decorative plate, so you are out of luck installing this in an existing multi-gang switch box. Just awful execution of a good simple design.

LOVE the styling. But I cannot yet get it to turn. 3 calls to the company. 1 was returned (the first) and hoping to connect with them and get it resolved next week. I’ll redo my review if I ever get it to turn. I’d hate to use it as sculpture.Update: electrician tried to check my installation and the tether slipped off the L Shaped “j” hook sending the entire unit rapidly to the floor. Impact broke two blade brackets. It’s utterly worthless and never once turned, even with the replacement motor. I’m both disappointed and frustrated.

Our fan motor had a crushed wire on arrival and would not power up. MATTHEWS FAN COMPANY stepped up big time and replaced the motor in mere days…no questions asked…..and now we are super happy. This is a great, quiet fan that moves a ton of air. I HIGHLY recommedn MATTHEWS FAN COMPANY. THANK YOU for the prompt, courteous service!

Looks even more beautiful than how I imagined. I got this because it reminds me of a wind turbine. You can’t hear the motor, just the quiet moving of air. Maybe at the highest speed you have to listen very close to hear any motor sound, and normally it’s completely unnoticeable. Solid construction, simple assembly, and moves a lot of air. The hugger form factor and white/white color configuration makes my small 8’x10’ room feel as large as possible – it’s only noticed out of aesthetic admiration and never because it’s in the way like my older conventional ceiling fan.

This fan is exactly what I needed for my 1930’s cottage with ceilings barely 8’. The look is modern, but it does what it’s supposed to do – blend in and move a lot of air, QUIETLY. Love it and installed it myself (62 y.o. female). The only negative is how long it took to arrive. Even though it said it was in stock when I ordered it, it was not, and I waited about 4-6 weeks. It was worth it; I looked a very long time for a fan that hugged the ceiling as well as this one does.

I really like this fan. The design is very modern and it looks fantastic without any visible hardware. The only single issue is that on high speed it has a buffet noise kind of like a mini helicopter. I never really need it on high though. Usually sleep with it set on IV setting.
