This is a beautiful quiet ceiling fan. Even on high speed it is essentially noiseless. I had it professionally installed for my home office. Honestly, it is a statement piece/artistic piece as well as a ceiling fan. The remote is installed into the wall with my light switches. The battery is easy to access to change. I’ve had it for well over three years now and have had to replace the battery only once. The light color is decent enough not too “warm” not too “cool.” It does does a wonderful job of circulating the air. I’m sure there are cheaper fans out there that would be equally as nice but if you want to splurge as I did then it is worth it in my opinion.

I’ve come to expect from Hunter/Casablanca great quality and quiet ceiling fans – the Perseus did not disappoint! It was simple install – great instructions are included. I love the new design to the wall mounted remote that allows a simple battery replacement. I have three other Casablanca’s with wall remotes that I put in 2.5 years ago that have an older style wall remote that requires removing the decorative wall plate to change out the batteries. Those remotes and fans are still working fantastically – but I really like the ease to change a battery on the new wall remote included with the Perseus fan. Thanks and keep making GREAT quality products!

Beautiful, big fan. Works great. Our builder installed quickly so I don’t think it was hard. We did purchase a longer pole. The one that came with it wasn’t quite right. It was easy to order a matching one.

Glass light came crashing down 3 months after it was installed. Company wouldn’t replace so stuck with looking at wires.

    Love this fan!! Looks amazing.

I used this to replace a 5 blade fan in my living room. I was concerned that it might not move as much air because it only has 3 blades but I was very wrong. The lowest setting on this is about the same as the mid setting on my old fan and the higest setting is amazing for the amount of air moved. If you want the most powerful fan available then this is a must. There are a couple of downsides to this fan, the main being that the price is exorbitant. My old fan cost me around $150 but this costs more than 3-4x that one. Yes this is more powerful with much better build quality but it is hard to justify such a price hike. The other downside is that while the light is decent it isn’t really bright enough to light up a room. My old fan offered 4 lights which were enough to light up the entire room but this light is definitely more dim. If you are looking for a well made and powerful ceiling fan and don’t are not put off by the high price then this is the ultimate celiing fan.*** Positive Points: ***- Extremely powerful fan motor- Comes with everything you need for installation including a switch- Excellent build quality*** Negative Points: ***- Very high price- Light is not bright enough for most rooms- Does not come with wireless remote control (even though some competetors include this)

Why do some ceiling fans cost $99 and ones like this are $600?QUALITY! Fit n Finish of the materials is superb! The Brushed nickel is gorgeous and the walnut blades have a very unique shape. The quietness is really appreciated. I assume the shape of the blades is what adds to the quiet factor. Balance is impressive… but, I could have got a lucky one, but I doubt it…this is all part of the quality factor….properly weighing and balancing all the parts to prevent wobble. The installation is typical for a ceiling fans. The installation instructions were as nice as I have ever seen, large print, heavy card stock and good illustrations. Parts are in clearly identifiable bags..well done. Even for the novice, installation should go smooth.I found it interesting reading the installation requirements of 7ft from the floor and 36″ from any wall. The included rods are 5″ and 12″…and of course, u can buy different size rods to accommodate unique applications. the same applies for angled installations. The wall switch has 4 dedicated speed buttons. This is a really nice feature, as u can set it to the position u want, no guessing what speed the fan is currently in. A backlit feature would be nice, but not mandatory with dedicated speed buttons. The wall switch uses a battery…this is to control the light… never seen this before. The lowest speed moves a LOT of air. This fan moves a lot of air for 3 blades. The blade design is prob. the reason why.Of course, as others have mentioned, no remote control comes with the fan. I can’t ding a point for this, as this fan looks sooo elegant… hard to describe… a touch of high end space craft and old world wood / metal. If u need a remote control, of course they can be purchased separately. I assume the maker assumed, everyone has different taste in remote controls, so u can select the type you want. I will prob. add a remote control at a later date.I have installed a LOT of ceiling fans, and this is by far the nicest one I ever installed….so 5 stars from me…
