Overall this is a nice fan with a simple but modern look. I installed it on the kitchen where it is the primary overhead light so I was a bit concerned it might not be bright enough. I was pleased to find that it was just fine, probably the equivalent of a 100 watt bulb. The color temperature is 3000k, which is slightly cooler than the soft white bulbs I normally go for, but nice for a kitchen or bathroom. I wouldn’t like the color tone in a bedroom.Installation wasn’t too bad, but I’ve had much easier fans. The blades need to be screwed on which is much more finicky than some of the Hunter fans where they just clip in.The remote is easy to use and I like the little holder that it comes with. It can fit in to your existing light switch panel and then the remote is held in place by a couple of pegs. It can be pulled off and then fits securely back on the wall.A couple of complaints. The switch for changing the blade direction is inside the glass dome which is absolutely nuts. So if you want to reverse the blades you have to unscrew the dome and flick a little switch. Seriously, was there no way to put this on the remote? Or somewhere else more convenient? The bigger complaint is noise, though it’s fixable. When first installed it made horrible buzzing sounds at every speed. I could live with it but I wasn’t pleasant. After some experimentation I determined that the noise was vibration from inside the glass dome, not motor noise. If you undo the glass dome the reverse switch is mounted on a little metal bracket right in the center, held on by two screws. This is what’s vibrating. By undoing those screws and placing a little rubber washer at the end of the screw (so it sits between the bracket at the fan body) the vibration noise is completely eliminated and the fan runs silently, at least until it comes loose. I fiddled with this a few times and finally got a long term solution which was to wedge in a child’s slap bracelet, rolled into a circle, between the upper housing and the light ring. This has worked perfectly but it’s crazy that this has to be done at all.Overall a nice fan, but the reverse switch is nothing but trouble and the design leads to unnecessary vibration noise.

The fan looks nice but isn’t quiet out of the box. I had to have a service person come out and put some tape between some of the part on it to cut down on the noise traveling through the housing of the cover on the fan. Wants they did that, the fan is a lot quieter. This cut the noise by a good 50% if not more. We also found that the glass light cover was causing a lot of the noise being it was acting as a amp for the motor noise. It buzzes. We are still working on getting all the buzz out of the fan. This fan has a great remote for a blind person. The buttons are easy to tell what they are for. The speed buttons get larger from the lowest to highest speed. The battery cover was a chalange to get off.One note in reading other reviews of other Casablanca fans and reading about people having issues training new/detraining remotes! I’ve not had any issues like that. For the reason is I would never hard wire the fan into the house wiring without putting in a normal off/on switch on the wall. This away if you do that for each fan; you can just turn off the wall switch and turn it back on and then you have 3 minutes to train/distrain a remote for that fan.

We struggled trying to find a good quality, “moisture” rated fan to use in our master bath. This one fit the bill and we love it. We like the super low speed and the remote works great too! Just wish we could switch the rotation by remote also (its on a 14″ ceiling). Other than that, its a great fan.

I got this based on the recommendation of our long-term contractor, but unfortunately, we feel very little air circulation even at the highest level. Maybe due to the size of the blade or to the fact that there are only 3 blades – I don’t know. The light is nice.

If you are sensitive to “flicker” from led bulbs do not get this fan. the light ring is very low quality so sitting on our porch feels like you’re sitting under a strobe light. Since the bulb is proprietary there is no easy way to replace it.

I expected a bit better construction, the flush mount did not match up well.

Easy to install, excellent value.

Love the fan. A tougher install than most but worth it.
