   Installed two in my pole barn. Works well, moves a lot of air. On high speed is quite noisy. On medium or low, still noisy but one is able to have a conversation. A well made product that does it job well. Would buy again if I needed more. In a smaller garage with finished walls, would be a bit too loud. In a barn, works well.

   Very nice ceiling mounted fan. It tilts and swivels so you can aim it in the perfect location. At the highest setting it moves a tom of air.. Even comes with loctite. But it doesn’t come with lag bolts to mount it. The pull chain is short. But a trip to the hardware store solves that minor issue (unless you don’t have one near by)

   I read plenty of reviews on different sites about the Air King 16 and 18 inch fans. The only review that would make sense is to understand how the product is to be used. I have very large covered deck. Half of which is screened in (let’s say that is for my wife). I prefer a more open setting than a screen environment. So my section is about 14 by 22 feet for me to have to watch sports and action movies. I don’t like to be hot when I am relaxing and I don’t like nats and mosquitos. I have two of these fans ceiling mounted on opposite ends along the front of “my” section of the deck. I have them angled toward the center so they can cross ventilate. So far I have only experimented at about 86 degrees in a humid environment. The low setting does the job and I know the medium and high settings will do the work in late July and August heat of North Georgia.I have read where some folks don’t like the noise of stronger fans. Yes, these make sounds like sturdy fans blowing good wind. But not loud enough for me not to clearly hear what I am watching on TV or in conversation – no matter on high, medium, or low. I have the 20 inch version, but probably could have gone with the 18 with no problem. More is better for me. I hope this review helps.

   The fan seems to work great. I mounted it to the ceiling in my garage and then hard wired it to a switch on the wall. It moves a lot of air and doesn’t make a lot of noise. You know it’s running but you can still hear yourself think. The problem I have is with King-Aire’s customer service. Since I hard wired the fan to a wall switch, I would also like to be able to control the speed from the wall switch. I don’t want to have to use the pull chain on the fan to change the fan speeds. I went to King-Aire’s website and submitted an inquiry as to if a variable speed controller would work with the fan and if so, what type would I need to use and asked if they had a particular model they recommended. Crickets. No response. I spent $160 on a fan and I can’t get a simple answer and I’m surely not the first customer to ask about a variable speed controller.At any rate, if you need a good fan for your garage or other large area, and you like the ceiling mount, as I do, then this fan is the ticket.

   I have ordered tow these the past month and installed them in my garage. I wired them both to a timer switch on the wall (so I won’t forget and leave them on too long by mistake).Thought it was kind of strange that these came with a pipe-glance to mount to a ceiling – not sure how many people have 4″ wide joists! I just mounted mine using 2 of the 4 holes in the circular flange to my ceiling joists with 5/16″ x 3.5″ Lag Bolts and they seem to be solid.The first one I received had a somewhat corroded threaded nipple and I had to go buy a big pipe wrench to get it to tighten down to the set-screw locations. The second unit had no corrosion (looked like a different material (shiny) and it went together easily.In both cases I had to use a threading tap on the set-screw holes, before I could get the set-screws to thread. Seems like these mounts would come pre-assembled?Other than that, these work great and are relatively quiet for what they do.

   Product quality is as expected. Very dissappointed in the movement of air.I bought this for my two car garage and you havd to stand right in front of it, to feel any air.Disappointed, considering the price point of this fan.

   Nice fan. A bit loud but would expect that. Easy mounting just find a stud. Pull chain could be about 8 inches longer. Does not come with lag bolts. If the chain was a bit longer & they supplied the lag bolts it would be a solid 5.

   We are outdoor folks, but love making the outdoors comfortable and homey. I recently surprised my husband with this fan and some speakers for his birthday, installed and ready to go. He was and has been very pleased with the addition! The fan is certainly INDUSTRIAL GRADE. Which was exactly what we needed to keep the deck cool and the bugs from flying. I had it installed by our sliding glass door to keep bugs from coming in, as we have two small children who are outside all day and the door must be open to keep an eye on them. (They often forget to close the screen) Since installing the fan (WHICH SWIVELS! BONUS!) I have noticed a drop in the amount of wasps and other stinging bugs, moths, etc. that have made their way inside. WE LOVE THIS FAN!
