I wanted a fan with a modern/contemporary look and considered several models/brands before buying two 52-inch Casablanca Wisp with LED Light fans for use in my living room and master bedroom. I choose the Casablanca because of past experience with Hunter fans. Casablanca is Hunter’s luxury division.Wisp is the apt name for this fan. It’s performance is very quiet. There is no wobble, and the blades didn’t need balancing. I am using the fan on the number 2 (Low) speed setting, and find this to be very comfortable. Even number 1 (Extra Low) is comfortable. I don’t see the need for using the 3 and 4 settings. The Dimming Mode of the LED light is a nice feature.Installing the fan was easy with clear instructions. The only difficulty was mounting the fan blade to the motor. It took a little trial and error to get the blades screwed to the motor.I choose the Noble Bronze finish. I would have preferred more of a bronze “look,” because of the colors in my rooms, but Noble Bronze is okay. The hue of the finish changes somewhat, depending on the light level in the room. So far, I’m very pleased with the Casablanca Wisp and recommend it to anyone wanting to buy a new fan.

I love to look of this fan but it seems overpriced for what you get. As many have said, the blades are plastic. It isn’t nice plastic, just plastic like a cheap toy plastic. I guess once it is up and spinning it doesn’t make a lot of difference other than they don’t seem to be of the same weight because the fan shook like a dog passing a peach seed until I balanced the fan (not fun. Takes a long time and a lot of guessing). I have it in a master bedroom. The light isn’t as bright as my old fan with regular bulbs in a frosted fishbowl below the fan. It is a bit of a bright white light to, laundry room more than bedroom color. As mentioned by another reviewer, it isn’t a replaceable bulb but a panel of LEDs. When you assemble it you will look at them and think “weird” but it seems to work. The fan blades make quite the ruckus at higher speeds. On the high setting I thought I was back in country with a jolly green giant getting ready to set down in my bedroom. You get that whoop whoop whoop like a chopper blade on 4. on speed three you get a bit of it but it is ok. It does put off a nice breeze at the end of the day.If I could do it over I would get a different fan.UPDATE: A little over four years since I hung it up and it is making a terrible noise. It sounds like a bearing is going out. So in limited use it lasted a little over 4 years for me. The one it replaced was an Emerson that is in a different room now, 25 years and still going with the occasional ticking sound.

One of the things I did NOT notice when considering these fans is that the reverse switch is not on the remote. It is inside the LED housing, so you have to remove the globe to reverse the flow direction. The photos below show the location of the switch in the fan with the globe removed, and also the integrated LED unit on the brightest & dimmest settings. The globes are made of white frosted glass which diffuses the light more than my photos below show. The globes twist-lock into position, but if you have high ceilings, you’ll need a ladder. And they are glass, so it’s a good plan to have a spare. The LED kit produces plenty of light, but there is nothing in the user’s guide or on the actual lighting unit that says what the color temp is, but I would guess it’s around 3000K.The dimming features are OK, but despite having an “up” and “down” button, they both cycle through the brightest/dimmest settings & then go the other way.Nice quiet fans, but would be more convenient to have the reverse flow switch on the remote.

Hard to install, seemed less sturdy than fans I have installed that are 1/2 the price or less.

Sleek, updated fan that can go with many decors. I wasn’t sure about a 3 blade design, but I really love it! This may look really modern, and I believe it would go very well with ultra-modern designs. However, our design is a classic combination of metal, wood and leather and it fits perfectly. I see this as the new standard that fits in every room, replacing the 5 blade, 4 light standard that came with new builds 20 years ago. We now have two fans: the white housing and pewter housing, both with pewter blades. On the 2nd and 3rd (out of 4) settings, they give great airflow in medium and large rooms, and a lower setting would be sufficient for a smaller room. My husband is pretty handy and he made the DIY install look fairly easy; at the very least, he didn’t curse as much as he does replacing a toilet!

Great fan for the price, bought direct from Amazon at a lower price than other venders. Great looking propeller style fan, very quiet, easy install in about 1 hour. Replaced a 30 year old Casablanca so we stayed with same brand. I did not have any of the issues that others had posted, no issue with install, fan is very quiet on 2 low settings. Moves a lot of air at high settings. Highly recommended.

The fan looks great and functions well. Yes, the blades are plastic but from below it looks fine. Just don’t use this fan if you have a viewpoint from above. The blade direction is reversible via a switch behind the light housing. This is very easy to access so ignore those complaints.

Love this fan. It is relatively easy to install by one person with clear instructions. The look is contemporary and it is quiet. The only thing held me back for 5 starts is that it does not have timer function. I use this in my bedroom and it would be great if it has a time or sleep mode.
