It’s a very cheap-looking fan. Don’t hang this fan in a room other than a girl’s bedroom. I like the different lighting moods and the fan is good, however, I should have read it isn’t reversible.

So my wife bought this fan and I installed it, if you’ve ever installed a ceiling fan before it’s pretty straight forward. I noticed a few things with the instructions and fan design… First the leds are a retrofit for a circular/ring flourescent so the overall design is fairly old. Second there is no way to control the temprature of the light, even with the included remote, so as one reviewer noted, it just cycles though the color temps every time you turn it on and off… Extremely annoying and basically shows in spades how much thought effort and engineering went into this product. The LEDs are stuck on with magnets which seems sturdy enough, but the magnets seem like the strongest part of the whole unit… This style of fan ie blades that fold in and out are fairly popular in Asia (My In-Laws have a model where the blades mimic flower petals and fold out and up when on) but fold outs are semi-newish here in the states. So you definitely get the wow! factor from the USAsians. My recommendation – put a hard switch somewhere on the stupid LED board so you can set the color temp!
