    I bought two and they both struggle to start rotating and eventually work through it to start fully spinning. I not contacting support to return because there is no way I’m taking them back down after installing on 12′ and 14′ ceilings.

    This fan looks great. When I went to install it I found the wires coming from the motor head were very long which is not uncommon for fans that are installed with high ceilings. Upon further examination I found a very low quality connector connecting wires coming from inside the fan to the long wires meant to fit the high ceiling installations. I also notice one wire had come loose. Not trusting the low quality connector I removed and made my own crimp connections which worked great. It also had a very long safety cable coming out of the motor head designed to capture the motor head should the fan somehow break loose from its mount. This is a good idea. My install is very short. There was nothing included in the packaging to shorten the safety cable for short installs. I resorted to just cutting it off. I finished the install without any other issues and the fan worked great for a while. It was well balanced and did not require adding weights to balance it to keep it from wobbling. It was also very quiet. Others had mentioned the wifi app did not work very well. I did not have any trouble installing it and it does work good. After using the fan for a period of time we started hearing what I would characterize as a clunking noise. As time went on it got worse. I finally took it down to see if there was something about the install I could to fix it. I didn’t see anything wrong with the install. I did remove the down rod and put teflon tape on it and was able to get it screwed in to the motor head a little more thinking some play in that may have cause the noise. Hung it back up and the noise was still there. The clunking noise occurs about every 4 to 5 seconds and is usually includes 2 to 4 clunks. The noise is coming from inside the motor head.I am going to pursue getting a replacement with the manufacturer. At this point I would not recommend buying this fan.

    I bought this on Amazon Warehouse and it was about 50% off. At $400+ I think it’s a little expensive, but it’s a very nice fan, attractive and moves a lot of air. I had my electrician install it and it works fine with the switch, remote, or iPhone app. Note that the remote is sold separately. If you buy more than one of these, be sure not to mix the parts up as the switch belongs to the fan it comes with. Very quiet, moves a lot of air, no complaints.

    Beautiful yet Stopped working after one month – and unable to get a hold of anyone to discuss replacement options. Unacceptable for a $500 fan!Update: Finally got hold of the tech service dept for modern forms. They’ve now replaced the receiver twice. Worked for about a month after each replacement. While they replaced the receiver for free, it cost $200 each time to have the new receivers installed. Nearing $1000 invested in this fan now.
