     I like this chandelier/fan combination, but I wanted to love it. The versatility of a single light that acts as a dimmable, color-temperature adjustable chandelier and a retractable ceiling fan is impressive and it is a true sight to behold it in operation for the first time. The design of the finished product is beautiful, the lighting operates as advertised, and the retractable ceiling fan moves a surprising amount of air for a 36-inch model. All of this is controlled from the included remote control. My problems are that the manufacturing quality is a little shoddy in terms of everything lining up exactly, every time you press a button on the remote it makes an obnoxious beeping noise that cannot be muted, and that this fan cannot be operated with standard in-wall controls…only the via the remote.My situation is that my wife started working from home a bit and enrolled in an MBA program, necessitating a home office. We converted a spare bedroom into her office and the old plain white ceiling fan didn’t match the new vibe. We decided on a fandelier since the room had a bit of a glam feel to it, then selected this model. Here are the pros and cons of this experience:PROS- Finished product looks very nice…very expensive- Retractable fan blades are incredibly cool- Fan is very strong, moves a lot of air- Lights go from very dim to VERY bright- Lights go from cool white to warm white in color- Remote is responsive, easy to understand and use- Use of magnets to secure the light controller and LEDs is innovative- Fan blade mechanism is innovative- Fan is almost entirely silent, even on highCONS- Shipped without instructions (sellers were responsive on Amazon and supplied via PDF)- Relatively difficult to assemble- Instructions for hanging the crystals were incorrect as-written and had to be figured out- Manufacturing tolerances were far more lax than the ($140 less expensive) Hampton Bay fan I assembled after this one- Concerns about long-term reliability due to imprecision of some of the manufacturing elements- The loud beep whenever you press a remote button is irritating and low-rent- Remote is light plastic and feels cheap- Whenever you turn the fan on or alter speeds, a loud click is heard and you can see the fan torque itself sideways- When standing under it, you can see some of the wiring for the LED lights behind the crystalsI’ll update this review in a few months to see if my quality concerns have any merit. I can just tell that, in order to deliver this much functionality and design at this price, corners were cut. It’s why you can only use the proprietary remote, it’s why the motor violently activates and adjusts itself, and it’s why one of the largest pieces of the apparatus (the one with the embedded crystals that forms the bottom and sides) needed to be bent and worked into round shape before being installed. Using higher quality components and manufacturing would make this much more expensive. We’ll just have to see how it wears to see if the tradeoffs are acceptable.So, for now, I’d give this a recommendation because it is stunning in-person and works very well, with the caveat that I do have some long-term quality concerns.     I had this beauty in my cart for a few months before I decided to finally purchase it. I don’t know why I waited so long!!! I absolutely LOVE this fandelier! It took about 2-3 hrs to install. The fan produced great air flow in our 20×20 living room. The lights are stunning! I love how you can change the color and dim the lights. The crystals are so pretty during the day and add the classy glam look I was going for. The remote is a tad loud when it beeps, but that doesn’t deter me from giving this fandelier a 5 star rating. Came packaged very well. Clear instructions. Would definitely recommend!!

    I’ve been so impressed with this one so far. Has the different colors of light and then a night mode that dims whatever you have it in. Blows a lot of air and I’m in Texas so that’s important. It actually refracts light instead of reflecting it. I love it even more than I thought I would! I can’t speak to installation. I had the electrician do it.

    First, the instructions are almost non-existent. There in nothing in the manual to show how to put it together. we even tried YouTube with no luck! Screws don’t fit in designated holes, so it was installed with only 2 out of 3 screws. It cost us a lot of time and money to install, otherwise we would’ve returned the product.
