    Please note, this fan doesn’t come with a light or remote. This was purchased to replace an older fan with standard drop. The Westinghouse fan was perfect for my living room, which has bucket lights. Our ceiling is 8 ft. in that room, and this fan is close enough to the ceiling that my husband, who is 6′ 5″ has easy clearance. He didn’t have that with the old one. It works GREAT and moves air really well. It was easy to hook up to our existing wall switch.

    I chose this fan because the local hardware stores only offered “modern” styles. I needed the unit to be unobtrusive and coordinate with the style I already had. This fan fit the bill. It went up pretty easily and we only had trouble with the tiny screws. If you are looking for a high end fan this will not be what you want; however, if you are looking for a simple and pleasant looking model this will fit the bill.

    After a remodel that limited HVAC ductwork access, airflow and energy efficiency were my 2 biggest needs. The fan needed to move the air in a long, narrow room … and it would need to be on at least 12 to 14 hours per day. The balance between the CFM (cubic feet of air moved per minute) rating and the energy star rating for this fan were both good and that’s one of the reasons I chose it. The fan has met all my expectations. It’s circulating the warmer air out and the cooler air into that room making it much more comfortable. It’s flush mount (I did not need the optional light or remote control) and super quiet. I do not hear the motor at all. Excellent value for the money.

    Flush mount installation and very quiet operation. We also bought the suggested Westinghouse control switch. We were disappointed that the blade reverse was not really white-washed as described, but really a brown wood grain finish (see photo). This matches the picture on the box, but not the Web listing. Still looks OK. Otherwise seems an excellent value.

    Great fan, was easy to install. It has a low profile, I would have pad a few bucks more for it if they had made it in the USA instead of China.

    The fan worked. The relationship with my girlfriend, who’s house this fan happens to be installed, didn’t. So I will never know if the life of the fan will outlive my love for her.But hey, it was only like 40 bucks. I spent more than that on gas, moving my stuff out of her house.

    Its ugly but it pushes air!! We bought 3 to replace our newer prettier fans! You actually feel the cool air under this thing. These work better than any other fans we have bought in the last 15 yrs.

    Great fan for the price. One blade had a chip that I easily touched up with paint. It does hum especially when you first turn it on. But it isn’t loud once the fan gets going. I added a chandelier light kit and it was super easy.
