Hi there. The fan we easy to install and the remote worked out of the box, I ran into trouble trying to connect it to my wifi so I can use the Emerson app and Alexa. I worked on it for about an hour and could not get it to connect . I’ll tell you why so you can save some time.I have xfinity and it uses both 5.0 and 2.4ghz. xfinity automatically decide what device goes on what network. This fan will only work on the 2.4 network and xfinity could not figure that out….. To fix the problem I created two different wifi networks, one 5.0 and the other 2.4 (xfinity said don’t do this. what do they know). I used the 2.4 network to connect the fan and ‘surprise’ it worked…Now I really like the fan. It looks good and easily cools my room. (16x20ft). The Emerson app allows you to turn it on/off, change the fan speed and dim the light.Alexa works too for all the same functions as the app. Good. stuff!

The model name is “Sweep Eco Wifi”. Listed under special features is “Wifi Smart Fan, App Compatible”. However when I attempt to download the app needed to connect the fan to WiFi, “Emerson WiFi Ceiling Fan Control”, IT DOESN’T EXIST. The App isn’t found in the IOS app store and I couldn’t find any sign of it elsewhere. Apparently it once existed because people reference it in their reviews, but it now doesn’t exist. A key feature that sets this fan apart from competition, and puts it in a higher price range, just isn’t available. It’s like buying a cup of coffee and getting an empty cup with no way to fill it. The cup may work great but you don’t have the coffee.There are some positives. The fan looks great, didn’t require any balancing, and is really quiet.

This thing really moves air!! Since I’ve been working from home in a bedroom with a closed door and several computers it gets REALLY hot. After I added this fan I’m in paradise. It also looks sleek and futuristic I love it. If you are installing this and you have the extra red wire coming from the ceiling, couple that with the black wire NOT the white wire. I’m not an electrician so proceed with caution at your own risk. I had it with the white wire like it was with the old light and tripped the breaker a couple times (also heard that cool electricity BZZZZZZ sound…ok it wasn’t cool it was frightening and I sat still for a minute looking for fire and smoke…luckily all was well). Anyway, this fan is badass!

I liked the look of this fan, it looks modern and has modern features (wifi, dc motor). Operationally, this thing runs quiet and the light is bright.I set up the app and it works great, I find myself rarely using the remote now. Only thing I didn’t like was the plastic look it has but I don’t mind it for the price I paid and in comparison to other much more expensive models.

I’ve owned 8 Emerson eco fans over the past 15 years. Not one has broken down. They are also one of the most energy efficient. I will probably never own another brand.

I have gone through all the steps, reset my router, made sure it was in pairing mode, made sure I was on the right network, no luck at all. I can see the wifi for the phone but for some reason it just wont connect to the router. My router, fan and phone are all in the same room it makes no sense.

The Emerson Eco fans are so quiet, all you can hear is the fan blades cutting through the air. And the DC motor saves on your electric bill, especially if you run these year round 24/7 like I do. It also has a sleek modern design. I prefer the 3 blade style. Couldn’t be more pleased with this purchase.
