This is a really beautiful fan and it is very easy to install. It requires a fixture that can hold at least 100 lbs.My fan mount box already had two power lines, one from a switch for the fan and another from a dimmer for the light. The receiver for the remote mounts in the top of the fan and connects to just one set of power input lines and drives the fan and lights on the fan. It cannot connect to a dimmer. When you turn power off then on from the wall switch, the fan and lights turn back on to their last setting. You cannot control the fan speed or dim lights from the wall switch when the remote receiver is connected. The remote also won’t dim the lights. It only turns them on or off.I ran an extra wire through the fan from the bottom lights to the power line from the wall dimmer switch (This took some time and care. Don’t try unless you are experienced) so I can turn the bottom lights on, off, and dim from the wall dimmer switch. I left the lights in the cowling connected to the receiver for the remote. My fan wall switch turns the fan on and off (the fan and cowling lights turn back on to the last setting of the remote). This way I can dim the lower lights from the wall dimmer and turn the upper lights on and off from the remote when the fan wall switch is on.The fan has sockets for 4 x 5W max lights in the housing. They must be candelabra size or smaller to fit. Use long life bulbs because after the fan is installed you have to remove the blades in order to slide the cowling down enough to replace the bulbs. I attached a picture to show how much (or little) the covering can go down without removing the blades. Also be careful of the size of the candelabra bulbs. Normal size bulbs are fine but there isn’t much extra room between the bulbs and the motor screws. There are sockets for 5 x 40W max bulbs below the fan. There is a pull switch that lets you turn all of the lower lights off, or have 2, 3, or 5 on. In a normal installation the bottom lights, and cowling lights, turn on and off together from the remote. The fan itself is very quiet. The remote makes a moderately loud beep when you press the buttons. The remote turns the lights on and off and has three fan speeds plus stop. The remote works very reliably.A few weeks after installing the fan I had a light ‘thunking’ sound when the fan turned. One of the candelabra bulbs would just barely touch the screws on the motor as it turned. My bulbs are a little larger than normal. I was able to adjust the bulb socket enough to resolve the problem. It was silent again when it runs. I’ve had the fan for about 2 years now and it is still silent and remained well balanced. The fan has the normal reverse switch, mounted on the fan in the normal place as well as the normal fan speed control that should be left at max speed when the remote is used. There is a pull chain for the fan speed control that I did not connect since I am using the remote.

This fan looks magnificent, and I have no desire to return it. Here’s why I gave it only four stars, though:The product is advertised as having “4 candelabra lights in the motor housing.” This is not the case. The fixture only has five lights, not nine.I cannot adequately rate the remote control. While it does control the fan as advertised, it has no effect on the lights. This MIGHT not be the manufacturer’s fault, however, as the room to which I added it was built over 35 years ago, and the specific wiring needed for it might not have been compatible with my house.

Very quiet, easy to install and it is as pictured in the online photo. I have received many compliments.

Its Pretty looking fan. Remote control is operational for the fan. I like that you can turn on and off some bulb or all of the bulb, thats power saving. But, I wish the fans is a bit wider and the machine lamp bit more bigger too. Also, the metal colors are not consistent.still pretty though. I like it.

I scoured the internet looking for a unique combination fan with light. A few were more elaborate with crystal tiers but that would probably be terrible to clean. I settled on this one and am very happy that I did. It’s very elegant looking, has plenty of light and is super quiet! The only drawback was having to assemble it. Would definately recommend it.

I think the product is fine but the directions were minimal for installation and it does not tell you that you have to install the remote to get some of the lights to work

CAUTION: This fan does NOT have 4 candelabra light sockets in the motor housing as it states in theproduct description. I bought it because I thought it would provide adequate light but without the 4inside candelabra lights, the fan is no better than the cheap ones on the market. They should notadvertise a product as having a feature that is non-existent. Bad on them
