    My husband installed this, replacing it in a place we had another older old fashioned one. We just redid the kitchen, so I wanted a modern look. All the electrical was already there for him to work with. He said it was not too hard to install and joked it hasn’t fallen down yet! It has been up 3 months. I have been running it around the clock, many days and nights. It is still quiet. The brand was recommended to me by a friend who installed 2 of them, so I knew I could bank on it being a good product. She raved about it, how quiet it was etc. I would recommend it highly. She had hers professionally installed, but my retired husband did a great job. The light is a bit dim, one of the energy efficient types that never needs replacing, if you can imagine that…we have other lights in our kitchen so it is ok. If it was you only light, you may not like it, unfortunately. It is a “romantic” type of low light. I would still have purchased it.

    Had this installed by an electrician, since the place where it’s installed needed a ceiling fan rated box. I have had 3 of the older model with the old style halogen bulb for nearly 8 years, and the bulb had to be replaced in each one at least once every year or so. This is with the light only used a couple of hours a month. I’m hoping the led “bulb” in the new one gets rid of the only complaint I’ve had.It did scare the hell out of me a couple of times when the light turned on in the middle of the night. I changed the frequency the remote used to another one and it hasn’t happened since.

    This fan is attractive and we like the low profile, close to the ceiling. But the fan is sometimes noisy (not always, strangely), and the light turns off randomly, while the fan has a tendency to turn itself on out of the blue. Unfortunately we didn’t discover these issues until a few months after purchase, so too late to return.

    We have Minka Aire fans in all of our bedrooms, highly recommend. This one replaced a Hunter that lasted 1.5 years with the light acting up from day one. Well worth the higher price than other leading brands. Only negative is the wall control is tiny, but the remote is bigger and easier to read the the buttons.

    I like this fan. Didn’t take long at all to install. It is quiet. On the high fan setting, you can hear the wind. That being said, I have it in the bedroom and use the low setting to sleep. It has good air flow on low. I’m glad I read the other reviews regarding the light. Just hold the on button and it will change the amount of light. On high, it is very bright. I have it some where in the middle. I have only had the fan a month but I like it.

    This fan is terrific, nice and quiet. The seller was great! A remote was missing from the box, and the seller was VERY PROMPT in sending the missing remote. I was impressed and would not hesitate to purchase from this seller again. We do have another fan from the same manufacturer so just be careful to make sure it is set up on a different frequency. I can’t comment on ease of installation because we had a contractor install the unit.

    Super-silent operation, even on highest speed setting. Turned a previously hot room with insufficient air conditioning into the most pleasant room, even on the hottest days. One caveat: if you want to use the light’s dimmer function you need to run two electrical lines—one for the fan and one for the light. Overall, very pleased with this fan. Highly recommended!

    I love this fan. It is great to have a remote to control not only the speed but also the direction of airflow. It is very well designed, all metal except for the fan blades and light lens.I also have to say this was absolutely the easiest ceiling fan to install and I have installed a few of them in my days.
