The fan is quiet, the light unit is bright (somewhat brighter than 2 60 W bulbs at the highest setting), and The housing is made from thin aluminum except for the plastic blades.Everything assembled easily, and with one issue, was simple to hang . The blades were balanced out of the box (no need to stick bits of lead on the ends). There is no visible vibration even at the top speed (I’m not sure how much I’d see since this is a flush mount unit), and while it’s not completely silent, the air movement makes nearly all of the sound — no buzzing, whining, etc.

I can’t say that the instructions for use of fan lighting are explained well because the cable colors do not fully meet. After the cable overcame the color problems, it was also difficult to install the wooden fan to the lighting of the parts. I like it because the product is real wood. It is also nice to have yellow and white light in the lighting. The air flow of the fan is very good. Fan levels can also be adjusted.

This is a decent quality fan with room for improvement. I had it professionally installed by a licensed electrician who provided his insight for me to include in this review.Pros:Well packagedWell constructedEasy to follow instructions with some exceptions discussed below.Real wood fan blades (identical match to my other wood pieces).Attractive farmhouse style.Very QuietGood down draft and air circulation.White light and warm yellow light options.Mistake proof electrical connection fittings to assist the DIY installer.Multiple speed settingsShut off timersCons:Some of the installation instructions (especially the remote operation instructions) are wrought with grammatical errors.Attaching the fan blades to the motor was slightly difficult. The electrical wiring is not consistent with U.S. color coding.Page 9 of the installation instructions indicate “black and white” line voltage wires to receiver. The actual wires are blue and brown which may be confusing to a DIY installer. REQUIRES CORRECTIONQC improvements needed as the wood blades had 2 small scratches on them that were touched-up with a stain pen.The fan is not wired to allow connection to a wall switch with separate light and fan operation capabilities. These functions are only achievable with the remote.Although very bright, there is no ability to dim the light. These settings on the remote are absolutely useless and really didn’t do anything (“natural wind” or “soft spring breeze” and “anti theft mode”).At least twice the power button on the remote was pressed and the fan did not respond.Quiet operation in general, but definite noise detected when using the “soft spring breeze” setting.Although securely installed, slight wobble detected at the higher speed settings (4 and above). All in all – not comparable to the price point.

First impression:Upon receiving this box, I was surprised to see how small and light this box was compared to other fans that I’ve purchased in the past. This fan uses a smaller DC motor compared to the equivalent AC motor used in older fans, and also has 3 blades instead of the 5 blades your typical fan has. The blades are lightweight yet feel sturdy and also have a nice wood look to them.Installation:The included manual is pretty decent and is easy to read and follow. It even came with one white fabric glove which is the first time I’ve ever seen something that included a white fabric glove. When I tried on the glove, I felt like OJ Simpson as the glove was too small for my hand and didn’t fit. I’m replacing an existing ceiling fan so I already have an electrical box to mount the fan to. I did not need to use the included wood screws nor the included concrete screws and anchors. There were no screws included for mounting to an electrical box so you’ll need to make sure you have those already which I did have from my previous fan installation.I’ve installed a good number of ceiling fans in my life and this one is straightforward and the installation experience is typical compared to the other fans. There were a few things that threw me off a bit. The colors of the wires for the fan controller uses the IEC color codes (brown=line, blue=neutral) instead of the US standard (black=line, white=neutral). The manual mentions black and white wires but that doesn’t match the actual colors of the wires that was included with my unit. The lights were a bit annoying as they are attached with three magnets. The wires going to the lights should be placed behind the lights to prevent the wires from covering the lights, however this caused the lights to pop out since the wires would push against the lights. It took me a bit to get it to stay in place. There is a plastic cover that covers the lights so it’s not like the lights would just fall out and dangle.Usage:Here’s where the fan falls short. I’ve got the fan wired up to a wall switch so that it can be easily turned on or off without the remote. However the issue with this is that the fan doesn’t remember the settings you had it on. When turning it back on from the wall switch, the speed of the fan will be off and lights revert to the coolest color. You have to set the fan speed and color temperature from the remote. In addition, the fan is louder than I was expecting. The whole point of switching to a DC motor is to eliminate the 60 Hz hum that is associated with AC motors, however this fan still makes a humming sound. In the video that I attached, I point that out.The fan does a good job of moving air, but to really feel the breeze you have to be standing right in the middle of it. I do wish that the breeze was more spread out, but it does do the job of circulating the air in the room. Finally, I did have some issues with the remote. There were times that I press the buttons on the remote and nothing happens. The fan should beep to acknowledge that it received a command but it doesn’t do that. I did ensure that the receiver’s antenna sticks out from the cover so that the signal is not blocked but I still have issues. Not sure if it’s the receiver or the remote. It was nice of them to include the two AAA batteries needed for the remote.Final Thoughts:At the time of this review, the fan is being sold for $309 with a $50 off coupon bringing the price to $259. While this fan has some nice features, such as lightweight DC motor, 6 speeds and selection of LED color temperature, I don’t feel like the quality justifies the price. Compared to some of the other fans I have in my house, this one does fall a bit short. It does get the job done and the lights do a great job of lighting up the room, but for a fan of this price I would expect a little bit more.

Super solid, well made and easy to install. It is as standard as any fan install, just cut electricity, hook the wires up to each other, test the electricity and if all is working, then secure it to the ceiling mount. Runs nice and smooth and is super quiet even when on a high speed. Looks great in the den, but would like nice in just about any room. Good price, highly recommend.

The fan has excellent quality thick wood blades that are well designed and manufactured. It was straight forward to assemble and install much like any other fan. However, after installing it, it did not work. I tried everything in the manual to reset it and try to get it to work and nothing worked. The manual said to contact customer service for further help but there is no contact information for customer service.
