The light is quite bright. The remote works well. The fan works decently enough, however it is definitely not a bladeless fan as advertised which is why I didn’t give it 5 stars. It is great for a small room where a normal ceiling fan won’t fit. I would definitely recommend.

Apparently this light is designed as a swag type. That is, hardwired into a ceiling mount and then hung from a hook. The thing is that the receptacle cover is only about 4″ across and a standard mounting plate is more than 5″ so it does not hide the ceiling plate. Or you can just screw it into an existing ceiling light bulb fixture.I ditched the included cover and just ran the wire up through an old cover off of another hanging lamp. I tied a knot in the cord to take the weight of the lamp.Word of caution: DO NOT LOSE OR MISPLACE THE REMOTE! This light is unusable without it. If you use the wall switch it will just cycle through light on, fan on and light and fan on each time you flip the switch. And at the default settings for the light and fan. Which is maximum brightness and speed. I velcroed mine to the wall. That said, with the remote in hand this light does some pretty amazing things. You can adjust the intensity of the light. Change it from warm white to natural light to white white. Adjust the hue along the green blue spectrum. It even has a nightlight option which is pretty cool. Adjust the fan speed (for a 10″ fan it can kick out a serious breeze). It is quite loud though. It even has a timer where it will turn itself off after 1, 2 or 4 hours.I put it over a table where we do puzzles, kid’s homework, art projects and the like. It projects a wide swath of light that covers the table with minimal glare and all without the heat that comes from a regular overhead lamp.

This would be a relatively good device if you need a light + fan that screws into a light bulb type socket. In fact it would be a unique and helpful product in that sense.Planning to buy a light bulb fixture to hard wire onto the ceiling, and then I will install this light and will update this posting once that project is done.In the interim, it doesn’t seem safe to install this without a grounding wire using the existing hardwire The hard wire connection is 2 thin wires and a cone that doesn’t cover the standard size electrical box on the ceiling of my kitchen. This operates with a remote control and not the light switch. Everything is plastic, so it is very light and would be easy for one person to screw into an existing light bulb socket.Just don’t think it is safe to hardwire and then the electrical box on the ceiling would also show (not a good look). The whole fixture is plastic looking (because it is indeed plastic). Not a fan (pun) of this fixture.

This is best for a place that already had a pre-existing fixture that you can just screw the new one to. There are two ways to install this one just into a fixture that you already have that fits well and two directly to the electrical wires. Since the light we had didn’t aim down we opted to install this directly to the wires. The wires that come with it are stranded and 12 gauge not the best in my opinion. There is no indication of what is neutral and what is the live. After trying to install this as it’s intended, I noticed that there is no base for it. The bedroom that this was going into needed a fan so I Jerry rigged it. The fan and all of the other functions work as intended. If you want to use this a plug and play it works perfectly. If you want this as a permanent fixture and don’t know what you are doing, get someone who does.

This product is interesting. So tacky . Looks nothing like in photos .It’s loud. The light is pretty bright .It might work for kids rooms or small rooms like a bathroom that can use a little airflow if you don’t mind the terrible aesthetics. For me I think this thing is awesome for photography lighting !It provides extreme color adjustment and brightness adjustment … gives that ring light effect , can blow air at photography subjects . Definitely a fun kind of portrait light to play with .Would definitely work for people with streaming setups that have a lot of pc equipment the air movement would keep a streamer cool, while providing a genuinely great lighting source .

Man, I hate writing negative reviews. But there are some serious drawbacks to this product.1) the fan is quite loud, even on its lowest setting2) there’s no setting to change fan direction (it only blows down)3) it doesn’t remember the light and fan settings when turned off, either by the wall switch or even by its own remote(!)4)The extension it comes with to hang from has to be *hardwired* in, and has the tiniest little 22awg wires. Don’t use this, please. It may be 100% acceptable for the low-power fan/light unit (giving them the benefit of the doubt), but it terminates in a standard Edison screw and it would be really easy for someone to come along in the future, unscrew the fan/light and put in a regular lightbulb. There’s lots of Edison screw extensions on Amazon that would be 100% safer.5) The unit is very fussy about where the remote is pointed and it takes some getting used to to find where you need to hold the remote for it to respond.6) The listing says ‘bladeless’ but it’s very clearly a traditional bladed fan in the center of the fixture.Positives…1) it does work2) the dimmer doesn’t suck (no flicker)3) fan generates a decent amount of wind4) screws directly in to a normal light socket5) inexpensive, I guess

So, the description does give the dimensions, but the photo is deceptive. The light is small. The fan blades are smaller than my desk fan. This definitely would only be effective in a small bedroom or office. It wasn’t crazy hard to install in an existing fixture for my son that is an electrician (So I don’t know how hard it would be for anyone without experience.) But ended up taking it down because it’s too small for the space.
