Hunter always makes great fans. I bought two from Amazon warehouse. One was refurbished and the other was apparently just a return from another customer. Significant cost savings. The refurbished one was missing a few screws but we took screws out of the old fan and made it work. They look great, run super quietly and were perfectly balanced right out of the box. Couldn’t be happier with the way they look! Hope they stand the Louisiana humidity for many years.

I was fortunate enough to snag a good deal on this Hunter ceiling fan through Amazon Warehouse. Everything was in the box I needed. I like that it is rated for damp applications and that it uses stainless steel hardware for the blades. Should last for a very long time. LGB.

I was searching for two 52-inch, damp rated, ceiling fans in white. This was one of the few ceiling fans that met those specifications. I was concerned that a big ceiling fan costing only one-hundred twenty bucks would not be of the best quality. The fans arrived and I installed them in the ceiling of my front porch. We have been using them for about a month now. So far I am very pleased. The quality is better that I expected. All of the screws and parts that are not painted are made from stainless steel. The fans are rotation reversible, but I can’t see ever changing an outdoor ceiling fan to “pull air up” mode. The fans are also three speed. The highest speed moves the most air, but it’s a little too noisy for my taste. The lowest speed is absolutely quiet, but the amount of air moved is minimal. The medium speed is the “Goldilocks Speed”… just right. On medium the fan blades make just a slight “white noise”, but you will never hear it if there is any ambient noise. One fan wobbled slightly on high speed after installation. I followed the included instructions and identified the blade that needed the self adhesive weight. The small weight stuck to one fan bladed cured the wobble. The second fan had no wobble after installation. If you are installing a ceiling fan where there was NO ceiling fan before, I recommend buying the following bracket and junction box. It makes hanging a ceiling fan a MUCH easier job.https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00027EWNW/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Changed out my old dark fans for these white Hunter’s. They are very sturdy and quiet! Ordered one for the main bedroom and just got two more for each guest room!

Why boring? Because Hunter has thought of everything.Packaging-Packed so well they come out of the box as near perfect as can be.Instructions- Perfect. Even hints to make it easier as you go along.Hardware-First rate all the way. Even spares of each fastener for that one you drop and just can’t find. This fan is Outdoor rated and the hardware is stainless steel. No ugly rust streaks in a few years.Operation-Once installed, turned it on and it operates quietly, smoothly and moves a lot of air.Value- I have installed a lot of ceiling fans over the years for myself, friends and family. I always recommend and purchase Hunter. The paint finish rivals a new car.Accessories-Hunter light kits and globes are readily available and install by just plugging in. (My globes didn’t make it to me yet, but I used an additional set a month ago so I know they will be good.)No, I don’t work for Hunter. But I know a good fan when I see one.

The fan this one replaced was 30 years old and weighed in at 45 lbs – this was like 10 lbs – mostly due to teh casing around it. The new one is stamped steel, the old one was cast iron I am guessing. The downside of the lightweight is that you have to balance the blades, but they give you a kit to do that – I got mine balanced pretty good, but it took a couple of tries. Install was easy actually. The electrical was smooth, the instructions were clear and easy to follow. Which I did to the letter, which helped make it easy. I have to say, the only thing that was scary was lifting the old unit out of the bracket and realizing I had 40+ lbs hanging sideways off a tall ladder. At least I was over a bed incase I and the ladder followed the fan downward…

We are replacing our 28 year old Hunters because they are no longer pretty. They still work great, but it is finally time to get new ones.
