Seems like a nice fan, if it ran. There is an issue with either the controller or receiver and I emailed the support staff over a week ago with relevant info and the trouble-shooting that I had undertaken re: the manual and have yet to receive a reply, There is no discernible difference in build quality between the fans I’ve purchased locally through Lowe’s or Home Depot, but hoped that the $300 extra bought responsive customers service, but so far that does not appear to be the case.Update- After several weeks the part finally arrived and the fan works great. Extremely quiet. App works well. The fan itself is 4-star (the blades are plastic, but it functions well), the support is 2-star, as they did finally get me the part. So, I’ll split the difference and give them 3 stars.

While we’ve only had this installed for a few days, we love it! We were able to install ourselves with a little help from these previous reviewers and their tips. The instructions are terrible! But, overlooking the poor installation instructions, this fan looks amazing, is super quiet, doesn’t move at all even on high, and we love the dimable light (which we had to purchase separately) and the Bluetooth features.

Best fan I have ever installed. It is super quiet. Looks amazing. Will really move some air. Can control with your phone. 6 screws in each blade.

Unfortunately the mounting plate color does not match the motor housing as pictured. Was very disappointed to realize this after the fan was mounted. Instructions are sub-par at best as mentioned in other reviews. Disappointed customer with an awkward looking fan.

I bought this as it was the only style both the G/F and I could agree on. I saw that it was DC motor and uses a controller that likely wouldn’t remember the last commanded state if the power is cut. This ruled out Z-Wave switches to control this fan. I saw there was some integrations and understood there was an app to get things all running. Some other enterprising folks were able to write integrations for hubitat. If you are looking integrate this into your home automation system, some sleuthing will be necessary. I found a couple websites that walked you through the initial configuration and sending commands. I found I was unable to follow one of them. I had a quick chat with the author and he was super helpful. So to give you some idea of what you are in for, If the fan doesn’t have an integration for your home automation, you will be able to get it sorted out. The community is growing and the API is relatively simple. Great fan, very quiet, wind mode is pretty awesome, only works in summer mode. If you turn it on in winter mode, the fan changes directions first. The included wall control is a bit ‘Meh.’ The wires coming out of it are probably 18 gauge stranded wire. Not very confidence inspiring. But once the app is all taken care of, there is no need for it. You could swap it out for a standard paddle switch if you really wanted to. I wouldn’t recommend wiring it without a switch, the controller is based on an ESP-32 MCUs are robust and generally run forever, but having a hard reboot without cycling the circuit breaker.Definitely buy these modern forms fans. They are solid, and work well.
