Similar to what everyone else has written, you may want to look at another model despite the effective design and aesthetics of this fan. It’s the dumb controller, along with the pitiful controller installation/wiring instructions. Hunter actually calls your hot wire the “fan in wire” and the load wire, the “fan out wire”. Ridiculous. I tried using the mini remote & receiver with the fan. It actually works, sort of. For some reason, the fan won’t go above it’s middle speed using this remote (which had to be re-paired, BTW). I believe there are 6 speeds with this fan, so we’re not getting all we can out of it. Not having to mess with the stupid wall controller makes it worth it…at least for now.

This fan is awesome!! Looks great. It does not have a remote though. It is a wired control unit that goes in place of a light switch. It has many light brightnesses and fan speeds. I would recommend this fan but just know it is not remote controlled. Really moves air. Quiet.

This is a beautiful fan, but there is no handheld remote control, as advertised. Furthermore, we were not able to get it wired for the three-way switch for the light, although the ceiling light was pre-wired.

Mounting them on our outdoor patio. Good air movement, quiet.

The description stated that it comes with a handheld remote, but it does not. The remote is wired into the wall, replacing your light switch. The other issue is that the wired remote needs batteries, so you have to turn off the power to the house and pull the remote out from the wall whenever you need to change the batteries. Sadly, we are returning this fan.

We’re beyond disappointed with this fan. Not only is there not a remote as advertised, but when we do hit fan speed up/down, the fan will randomly pick a new speed to go to with no rhyme or reason. We need to continue to hit either up or down for 3-5 minutes any time we need to change the speed for us to get lucky and it end up the speed we want it to be. We will be replacing with a different fan soon.

I have purchased four of these fans. This was an awful decision. The first two were “Used – Like New” and neither of them were functional. I thought maybe it was because they were used. I purchased two additional fans new… they ALSO do not work. The fans will not spin (it’s as if they have bad capacitors). I really wanted to like them so rather than returning them, attempted to utilize Hunter’s warranty service and trouble shoot them (biggest joke ever). Not only will I be returning these, I will never buy a Hunter product again. So disappointing because I really wanted to like these. They just don’t work. I uploaded a video of the noise they make when you turn the fan on (all four make the EXACT same noise) and Hunter won’t assist to prevent another return.

“Pull chain included” is incorrect. “Handheld remote” is incorrect as well. The instructions give you steps for either two switches or one, and it doesn’t matter — you will need to install for one switch, or the second switch just kills power to the fan and makes the fan portion of the remote useless. I *wanted* to use two switches, so I can automate the other one myself with Home Assistant, and you can’t do that as easily here. Returning.
