The ceiling tiles in my TV room started falling last year so I had to have them all taken out and the whole thing drywalled — in the process, my old ceiling light fixture broke so I decided to put a small ceiling fan with a light in its place. It took a while to get it done, only because the Minka ceiling fan I have in the living room also decided to do kaput (after 7 years) so I had to order that one before having the electrician come out to install both. But now that it’s done, I can actually sit in the TV room in the afternoon and watch TV — even with the floor fan on, it was too stuffy to sit in there but with the new ceiling fan, it moves the air and I’m comfortable — the LED light is quite bright though and I usually don’t have to turn it on since a table lamp is sufficient illumination in this small room.

This is my second Minka product. I have one in my living room I love it. I love the convenience of the remote control and I love the convenience of the remote control in this particular item and in my bedroom because when I crawl into bed I’m so exhausted and the next thing you know I look up and my fan is not spinning and I have to get back up turn it on and crawl back into bed…I don’t think you can go wrong with this because it is returnable OK. Do some research this is a very good product and I like itEdit: it was an issue with the securement device on this and it flew off the ceiling and it is now $350 worth of rubble on my floor neither Myself or the electrician were harmed however it is missing a securement device that my old fan had. We went with a floor model air conditioner instead of the fan and just left a simple light because I have never in my entire life seen a fan fly off the ceiling before that was traumatic

In spite of the reviews, this fan is not quiet. Consistent motor hum at all speeds. I bought three based on the reviews and now have three humming fans – we have a 27 yr old fan that we installed in our house when we built it that is virtually silent.

If noise doesn’t bother you, this fan might work for small spaces. However if you’re sensitive to sound, keep looking.A light sleeper with acute hearing, I never notice our first minka-aire fan, a larger unit that runs in the bedroom. Our second minka quietly spins in the family room without disturbing anyone. That’s why I was beyond disappointed by this smaller minka for my 10×11 home office. The motor’s low metallic hum, even at low speed, is distracting and annoying. If I stream music while working or talk on conference calls, I may be able to put up with the noise. However, without other sounds to mask it, the fan’s hum makes it impossible to concentrate.Besides the noise, the remote’s reverse spin feature is difficult to engage, unlike or our other two trusty minkas, and its LED ceiling light is blinding.On the plus side, it is a cute fan that’s easy to install (we put it up ourselves in an hour). Unfortunately, its noise and light outweigh those positive features. Despite loving our two larger Minkas, I cannot recommend this model.

I love this fan. My only complaint is the light isn’t bright enough. I didn’t install it however the person that didn’t seem to struggle with it. It has it’s own wall mount switch and a remote. I had 2 installed over 6 years ago and they still work perfectly and just added another.

Re: 44″ White LED Concept II (bought for a 10×10 office) – the easiest ceiling fan we have ever put up, like the company actually thought about the person installing it. Doesn’t require 3 hands, 2 are enough! The plastic blades have a nice snap-in feature. The LEDs do dim, but it is really only from their highest setting to a medium setting, you’d never use this for any kind of ambiance lighting. Isn’t really bright enough to be the only fixture in a room (but that isn’t what I bought it for anyway).Currently the only con is that there is a slight gap between the top collar and the ceiling because of the way the fan body mounts to the fixture ring that is screwed into the ceiling fan box. It is small but, to me, noticeable.The LEDs are in a module setting, no way to replace without replacing the entire unit – the entire unit SHOULD be easily (but probably not cheaply) replaceable. Have a question I sent to the seller (340 Lighting) about buying a back-up module, we shall see. I bought the LED fixture because I don’t like the heat halogens put out, now we will see if I am sorry or not….(I will change the rating from 4 to 5 star if there is a reasonably priced replacement LED module.)

I ordered three of these fans – one for each of my bedrooms. They most closely fit my ideal idea of a bedroom fan. They are non-obtrusive, with a low profile. They are quiet and stable with almost no side to side motion. They have a nice soft white color that blends in with the ceiling. They have no dangling chains or lights for people to run into or accidentally hit. They have a remote control so you can turn it on or off while lying in bed. They were somewhat expensive but not extraordinarily so. We have been very happy with them since installing them a month ago. The only strange thing was that they all shipped at different times and it took a while longer to receive them all. Typically when I order multiples of the same product, they ship together. My order of three fans all shipped separately and were delivered within a week of one another. Strange… but that really doesn’t affect my review of the product, itself. These are very nice fans that are nearly perfect for me, and definitely the closest thing to my ideal fan.
