UPDATE: customer service reached out and offered extra troubleshooting options. This fixed the issue with my fan which is back up and working. Customer service was extremely helpful and responded quickly.I bought this fan for my kitchen. It was easy to install and put out a good amount of air. But after 6 months the remote or receiver has stopped working. I can no longer turn off the light or turn the fan on. I’ve tried all the troubleshooting steps but nothing has worked. I loved this fan but now I’m frustrated with it.

Love the light/fan, worked perfectly for 6 months after installation. However remote stopped working after 6 months. So now we have to turn the lights on by the wall switch and we have no way to turn the fan on. I’m trying to customer support to see if I can order a new replacement remote.

The fan works great after a trip to WalMart to get a SPECIAL battery, which is a 1/2 length AAA. The problem is you cannot turn the fan on with a wall switch. You have to use the remote to do it. Other than that it is a great fan on our patio over the hot tub. Just a PITA to turn on or change speeds.

I didn’t install it, my roommate did. He gave it 3 stars. Like my headline states, once the frustration of installing it goes away, and after you run to the store to buy the light bulbs and a BATTERY for the remote (since one didn’t come with it) then the fan is pretty nice!The instructions were garbage. It gives you parts for the install, but doesn’t even tell you in the instructions where the parts go or what they’re used for. Luckily, we used the bolts and screws from the previous hanging chandelier to install this fan and it worked out fine.About the battery… one didn’t come with the fan, which is whatever. But, they don’t even tell you what type of battery is needed anywhere in the instructions. By the way, it’s an A23 12V.The fan is small, but mighty. Great breeze comes out of it, so don’t be fooled by the size.All in all, a 3 star review.
