    I’ve had the same bedroom ceiling fan for nearly 15 years. The motor was loud and once it was on – it would rhythmically swing. I figured it was time to upgrade. What I liked about this Remote Control Fan is that it could be controlled at the switch, a remote, and an app (+ Bluetooth Music AND Color changing lights?!). What I didn’t like is that I wanted Alexa home automation and this didn’t have it – so I found this controller: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07RYD632T/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_47BMTAAZD00FKPVTCPJ2?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1The controller that came with the Fan vs the Alexa compatible controller are nearly identical but most importantly: same size and same wire colors. I hv an old house with a single switch. From this switch I only had 2 wires (this was made more fun because the existing ceiling wiring is that old thick stuff that has some black cloth tape – no definable white/black wire – 50/50 shot of wiring it up correctly. Got lucky the first time). Connecting the other side of the controller to the fan wires was easy – just matching the colors.When you take the light fixture apart so you can mount it to the fan, remember this: identify the star pattern of screw holes around the speaker area. AND Do not worry abt screwing down the speaker – it simply rests inside the light fixture.The new controller (I bought separately) connected to my wifi and then Alexa without a problem. I then downloaded the app for my ceiling fan and played with the lights and music. Last Tip: Light needs to be ON to connect via Bluetooth to enjoy music or app control.Aside from that, I leave my wall switch ON so I can use Alexa or my remote. I’ve had a window unit AND my old fan on previously to get the room to cool down. After the install, I just had only the fan on and it kept the room comfortable. The difference in noise from my old fan is amazing! It’s decently quiet.I prepped by watching a few YouTube videos for this style of fan installation. With an extra set of hands and an extra ladder, from take down to install – it took abt an hr. Getting 2 apps set up took another 20 mins.I’m happy and feel the combined purchases made it worth it.

   I have bought 3 of these fans. The other two work perfectly fine. This one fan, the lights stopped working first, and then the fan part completely started working. I am upset with Amazon Customer help because all I want to do is contact this company to see if I can get a light and see why they think the fan part stopped but they are useless. I have to go through so many areas in amazon just to try to get someone to talk to and even then the call part doesn’t work. I love the fan but its hard to get workers out and by the time i got it installed, the return was too late. I really need this company’s info.

   We have had the fan for a year. It wasn’t playing upon we set it up. The wiring wasn’t connected to the speaker. They sent us a speaker to get it set up. After a year, the LED colorful lights don’t work anymore. It still plays music and the fan works but the fun color feature does not.

   Wow! What an awesome “robot” fan! We bought this for our 4 year old sons room and he is obsessed with it!! The lights will dance to the best of the music you are playing. It dims to a nightlight. And the fan is strong! Functions great.I didn’t give it 5 stars because the installation was a bit challenging. Getting the actual motor onto the base was fine. The challenge came when trying to put the electrics box (there is a black box that connects wires, idk what it is lol) into the cover. And even when we did, there was a giant hole at the bottom so you can clearly see the wires when looking at it from the ground. It works great, just minor cosmetic things I didn’t like.Would buy again!

   I would give this fan a 5 star rating, however the instructions are something to be desired. The instructions are basically useless. Thankfully, I am somewhat handy and I was able to put this fan together by basically looking at the parts and going from there. I love the lighting, it can be bright, dim and colorful. Depending on your mood. I had to provide my own screws to mount the fan bracket to the electrical box I have in my ceiling. It comes with screws for mounting it to concrete and screws for mounting it to wood. But I did not have any screws to mount to the ceiling box, which is rated for a ceiling fan.The motor is quiet and I love the lighting options. With all this said, I am considering buying another fan, especially since I now have experience at putting this brand together.As a helpful hint, when wiring the speaker to the wires coming from the fan, Blue from the speaker goes to white wire from fan, brown from speaker goes to blue wire coming from fan.

   Bought Used Like New from Amazon Warehouse. Came with a busted shade as they don’t seem to have verified “Like New” status. They wouldn’t replace lampshade so only option is to return while they hold my money in the meantime. Not pleased with customer service, this time.To be fair, I bought 2 of these fans “Used like new” and the other came in perfect condition- everything unopened in original packaging inside of box. I’ve also bought one new – before buying these latest two for my kids.Loses a point for the app working pretty wonky with the fan. iPhone app keeps shutting itself down, and when it doesn’t it just isn’t a very well working app. All good though- phone itself connects well for using the speaker – and remote does enough to control the RGBs for us.Loses the other point for selling me a broken “Like New” product and not offering parts replacement or immediate refund/replace capabilities so I’m out of pocket for awhile.Install was easy- most confusing part we’re that speaker wires don’t hook up blue to blue, had to go back and switch. Also, absolutely assemble speaker and shade part before hanging. Lot more difficult to try and do it in the order instructions list. I assemble based on steps 1, 2, 3, 8, 9, 10, 4, 5, 6, 7.
