I am a senior and my spouse would not let me install it so I had someone else do it for me. It did not appear to be difficult for the installer, but he has put in many of them in his career. The fan is good, the lighting is good, and it cools the room off well. It appears to be of good quality and I am quite satisfied with it.
Reader –
overall easy to install. 6 inch down rod is only good for 8 foot ceilings. If you have a 9 or 10 foot you will want to get a 12 inch (9 foot) to 18 inch for 10 -11 foot ceiling. Luckily I was replacing a brass fan so I used the 12 inch I had on me. Over all seems to be decent. Balanced well so I did not need to balance after installing.

Received the fan with 1 broken globe and broken bulb. I don’t like the soft warm lighting, would like to find brighter light bulbs to use. No noise and was easy to install.

The fan is nice and quiet, it does not come with a remote through Amazon but we’re were able to get one for this fan through Home Depot which was great since we have high ceilings. The fan blades are also darker color wood on one side and lighter wood on the other so you can choose what blades you want to show.

did not use the supplied light kit, but do need a cover for the wire housing that is attached to the motor assembly. the cover that came with the fan has the light sockets attached to it, so therefore cannot use. should come with a alternative cover if not using the lights.
