    There was no remote , we have 23 foot ceiling really liked the fan so installed the mechanism from other fan so we had a remote so very disappointed in the description saying remote

    Replaced some cheap fans in bedrooms and these were aesthetically more pleasing to eye. Great find.

    For my install I used the flush mount option with a nontraditional ceiling finish. I had difficulty putting all four screws from the canopy into the mounting bracket. I also found the canopy got slightly mangled as I installed it. Fortunately I was able to salvage it. The screws for installing the mounting bracket also seemed questionable. I made a trip to the hardware store to get a couple the were more robust. A little peace of mind goes a long way. If I were installing this again, I would add some thick washers between the mounting bracket and ceiling. My install was probably not typical as the bracket was screwed into a ceiling joist with plaster between.The faux finish on the bulb cage left something to be desired. While I read that one other reviewer went for black, I opted for Krylon hammered copper.One other downside, one of the bulbs was defective. I’ve replaced it and have had no problems with the fixture.All told, I spent more on this fan than other options, and even then I spent more (screws, paint, bulbs) to make it right.Four stars is almost too generous, but I am overall happy with the final product.

    I own a log home in Door County, Wi and I converted our three season room to a year round sun room. I purchased two of these units for the high ceiling and they look and work great. I didn’t bother with a remote since I only need to run these at a low speed since i have two in the room. Besides, I tend to misplace the remotes and not having one solved that problem! I’ve had numerous compliments on how nice they look. One word of caution. The stems are 3/8 not the standard 1/2. If you need to have certain stem length outside the standard length offered, be sure to check on availability. I was able to order longer 30″ stems and they worked fine.
