This fan looks great and seems to be very well made. Good materials, solid feel and whisper quiet.Pros:- Price: $140 ish is very comparable to other name brands with less features- Build Quality: Uses great materials, thicker components than most and feels solid after install- Aesthetic: Looks great, looking at it I would think it was easily a $300 fanCons:- Light: this model has no light so keep that in mind when purchasing- Remote: The remote is rather cheap feeling and it uses a non-standard battery so you’ll have to special order one or go to a store that carries a wide variety of battery- Instructions: You get very basic instructions, they were enough to figure it out, but it would have been nice if they included tips and tricks for installing the control box and ensuring the extra length of wire is secured and out of the way.- Install: The mounting bracket for this fan is mad for the larger celling mount box. If you have the small plastic box you will either need to get creative and find a near by joist or pass on this model. The wireless control unit that gets installed under the fan mount is a HUGE pain to get wired, positioned, and secured. Horrible design in that aspect, I fought with the control unit almost as long as it took me to do the rest of the install. There are many different pieces that have to go around the down rod which make getting a screw driver access to the screws that secure the shroud is very difficult. I had to use a 90 angle ratcheting screw driver to make it work.If it is an option to have someone else install it for you, you should let them do it. Otherwise, be prepared for a much longer install than you would for a normal fan install.

In a current full house remodel and gave this to my electrician to install. He said it will be easy enough for him to do. I like the colors, it’s nice to have a light wood with white – no black – option. The style is higher end – comparable in store are much more expensive and not as nice looking as this one.The fan size is appropriate for a bedroom or dining room. I purposely picked the fan without a light since we have can lights installed and I don’t prefer the light from a ceiling fan. I’m not an electrician nor do I play one on TV, so I had a professional install this and asked him for his input on how it went. He was impressed with the design and layout with the only complaint being in relation to the way the receiver box for the remote control is wired/assembled relative to what is provided in the instructions. It took the longest for him to figure out how to do it, everything else was a breeze. It took him about 2 hours from start to finish to remove our old fan and install this one, along with the wiring, to take its place. He did have to enlarge the mounting hole in the cieling and secured the new box to one of the truss beams for added stability as the box on the 24-year-old fan was too small to be used again. From the consumer perspective, I’m very happy with how quiet it is along with the option of the short/long down rods as it allowed us to specify how low the blades were relative to our 8-foot ceiling. The remote includes a wall-mount holder so that you never have to worry about finding it and the range on the receiver antenna is very good. No more worrying about chain pulls or reversing blades for winter/summer, and the timer features allow us to set it and forget it for up to 4 hours. It doesn’t include a light but it’s not something that was a drawback in our consideration as we have lighting available via smart bulbs and fixtures and the old fan’s light had become redundant.
